Carwin suffers knee injury, still expected to face Nelson at TUF 16 Finale

UFC heavyweight Shane Carwin recently suffered a knee injury during
wrestling practice and was forced to withdraw from his autograph signing
during this weekend’s UFC on FUEL TV 5 event in Nottingham, England.

However, reports indicate that Carwin suffered no major damage to his
knee and is still expected to compete against nemesis and fellow coach
Roy “Big Country” Nelson at the TUF 16 live finale on December 15 in Las
Vegas, Nevada.

Carwin, who has dealt with multiple surgeries and other physical
ailments in recent years, hasn’t set foot in the octagon since a June
2011 loss to champion Junior Dos Santos.

Yeah thats actually quite funny, the media is creating this scenario where they're like long lost arch rivals from the day. Too funny, someone is getting KO"d in the fight if and when it ever happens; Carwin will be 50 by the time they fight.

The big question in my mind is wahst next for either fighter, with any favorable result; where do they go or who do they fight to stay relavent. Carwin had a somewhat late start to his career to a point, but his body is showing signs of wear to be sure. And for Nelson, well Dana just straight out hates his guts; so we all know that is never a plus.

I think they both could still be relevant possible threats... it all depends though. They both looked pretty lacking in their last outings... Carwin got smaller and didn't seem to gain any cardio... Just kinda looks old out there... Nelson looks sloppier than usual lately, both in and out of the cage; and I'm sure its simply to spite Dana. But this fight will be a telling tale in my opinion. They have to come out in spectacular form to really save their career, if you ask me.
