If Overeem can't fight, who should replace him @ UFC 146?

Who do you guys think should be the rightful replacement for this fight, if Reem gets the boot? (Bas has said that he heard Reem will be granted a license, but just in case.)

I picked the Paper Emperor cause I want him to see him.... I wanna say die ... but that would be too harsh .... end his career on a solid note

I chose mark hunt. cause i think hunt vs. JDS would be an epic strike war. 2nd to hunt would have to be Mir IMO.

I went with Mir, but I could go either way with him or Hunt.

Undertaker or The Miz


I figured WWE guys were all options, since you have one as one of the choices.

I just put him up there since he is a somewhat legit option.
I'll explain; Lesnar vs JDS was a match that was built up then never happened, also in some situations when the #1 contender is eliminated due to unforeseen situations the man he just beat steps in. Again, in some situations.
Plus, I'm still clingin....

No I'm kidding. I'm just being a smart ass. I can see why you put him up there. He's actually a more viable option IMO than 1 or 2 other guys on that list.

I'm guessing he isn't thinking too much about it. He has 0 interest in Barnett, and Cormier isn't really much of a sell. Who else is there that hasn't already been brought over?

Most logical would be Mir.

That being said, I voted Hunt. Fedor would get my 2nd place vote.

That's my main problem with Mir. He just seems like the above average (but not superstar) heavyweight that's lingered around forever. The Heavyweight division has always been a strange bird in the UFC with guys with short term success that fade away quickly. However, Mir is always in the top 10 for when the HW division takes a shit every couple of years.

I really like Mir too, great come back story (leg), great "coming of age/maturity story... and I always like a guy who can hurt you on the ground or standing... BUT

I think the HW division has outgrown his skillset, he can't bang hard enough and he can't get em to the ground consistently enough, although a big guy he doesn't seem big enough these days BUT...

he's got a big heart, will stay in the pocket (maybe too much) and is always entertaining.

The Mir bubble will burst and he will fade away sure give him a shot again at the title but really? How long do you think he will be able to hold it?
