Joe Son accused of killing cell mate while serving life sentence.

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation on Tuesday released a statement indicating that former mixed martial arts fighter and kickboxer Joe Son, 40, is a suspect in the alleged murder of a 50-year-old inmate at the Wasco State Prison-Reception Center (WSP-RC).

The unnamed inmate, whose identity is being withheld until the notification of his next of kin, was found dead in his cell at about 5:50 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 10.

Wow. But no mention of why Son is the accused.

Well if he was his celly then that might implicate him. He could've done it for someone else to return a favor or to save his own life. Guy might've been a snitch or a diddler. Weird politics in prison. Actually I'm not surprised, they tied Joe Son to a gang rape with DNA so him being a POS is kind of a given. Oh well.

Yeah well, he was serving life. So really, what's he got to lose? Sounds like it's probably for the better if he solidified his case to stay in jail forever. Good place for him.
