UFC Fighter Rankings Released, and They Are COMPLETELY Wrong…

Over the weekend, the planet’s premier mixed martial arts promotion announced they would release a divisional pecking order for the first time in the company’s 20-year history (12 years under Zuffa, LLC’s watch).

The goal was to get 90 MMA media members from across the globe to create the SUBJECTIVE lists by voting for the top fighters currently under the UFC’s roster by weight class and pound-for-pound.

The rankings are clearly more for show than anything because UFC president Dana White can still arrange the scraps the fans want to see, regardless of what the media determined.

White already pulled the trump card with Tuesday’s Jose Aldo vs. Anthony Pettis announcement.

Keyboard warriors went wild when they saw what reporters had rated their favorite fighters. As I mentioned in the opening paragraph, their rankings are wrong and, of course, yours are right…

I won’t bother examining the lists because they don’t really matter (Please see: Aldo vs. Pettis). The only issue I have is if division champs automatically take the top spot, the next guy should be rated as #2, not #1. It creates even more confusion.

Well what do yall think?

I obviously have some disagreements, but they are far from the worst set of rankings I've seen out there.

love Dan hendo but number two on the LHW list? thats the one that jumped at me first.
also, looking at the middle weight list; what a sad list. i like a lot of these fighters but it is a very unimpressive list. no wonder Silva hasnt been beaten. speaking of which, where is sonnen?

He is currently ranked 3 on our list. (which may or may not be changing after this weeks voting session) So I can't say thats too far off. He is on a 4 fight winning streak, but not all of them were at LHW... so it's an odd one to determine.
