I'm becoming a fan of this Bryan Barbarena cat. He's what we old school fans like to call a "fighter". The guy's not overly impressive physically, doesn't have one skillset that scares the hell out of anybody, and doesn't do anything really flashy. But he just keeps coming forward and keeps finding ways to win fights he by all rights shouldn't be winning.
Leslie Smith was pissed about that stoppage, and while it was early, I didn't see things getting any better for her. She showed she had nothing to offer Cyborg on the feet, so even if she survived and managed to get it standing again, I didn't see her luck changing at all.
Shogun looked pretty good. I think he could've done more and finished Anderson if he stopped waiting for the final 10 seconds of each round to open it up. Anderson isn't going to do any damage in a firefight and frankly looked a little timid in this fight, so Shogun could've Shogun'd him early and often if he chose to.
Vitor......fuck man. That was ugly! I was impressed that he actually managed to escape Jacare's grasp once on the ground, but that evaporated quickly when he ended up mounted by him seemingly seconds later. From there it was just child's play for Souza. Not sure where this leaves Belfort.
Werdum just made a huge mistake running in like that. Wtf was he thinking? Maybe he thought he hurt Stipe and could pounce on him quickly, but it was pretty evident right away that that was not the case. I'm not saying Stipe wouldn't have beaten him, but Werdum made it easy on him by overpersuing like that and leaving his chin wide open.
So I guess now it's Miocic vs Reem or Velasquez?? Cain will probably get it somehow, win, and then get hurt again and we'll be talking about an Interim HW title fight this time next year.
