| Holy shit was that a great fuckin card!!! I honestly think it was the best as a whole in a long long time.
Where does Arlovski go from here? I think if not a title shot, a #1 contender match is due. Belfort looked like a guy who just came off a bunch of juice, deflated and he easily gassed and just got lit up on the ground. He did seem to have The Chris in some trouble for a second there, but he took the flurry in pretty well.
IDK what to think of the main event... Rumble had DC in trouble and then just seemed to gas the fuck out... and allowed DC to run his game... I have a feeling he will be back for a rematch though, whether it be for the title or not.

| I'm just not a fan of DC. He didn't "earn" the belt, and then to call out Jones..."you better get your shit together"....please the ONLY way you got the belt was because Jones took himself out of the picture. IMO the only way to TRULY earn the belt and become champ is to beat the current champ...and not to get it by way of default. If Jones comes back he'll take it right back from DC. | |

| agree all the way around......in their 1st fight I wanted dc to beat jones....but now after hearing him toot his own horn at the post fight presser....I want bones to smash him. If anybody saw the press conference....for me it was when dc told the crowd to quiet down because the champ was speaking.....that right there turned me off of dc.......and its almost the same reason im not a wiedman fan....he keeps saying that he beat silva twice....I will never look at the second fight as wiedman "beating" silva....a freak leg break is a W but only by technicality and doesn't count as a beating

| Loved the card!!!!!! Plenty of questions were answered for me.
1. Belfort was not nearly the same fighter when trt was taken out. I could see Rockhold smashing Belfort with ease now and maybe even Bisping could've have UD him.
2. Rumble still has cardio issues and i still wonder if Gus could beat him in a rematch. If gus goes safe for the 1st and 2nd round he could put rumble away in the latter rounds.
3. No way you look at it Cowboy should have the next title fight.

| Agree with everyone on Cormier. Something about him has always rubbed me the wrong way. He's always just seemed to have a sneaky arrogance about him. Not blatant like Jones, but it's always just below the surface, and it came bursting out when he became the "champion". I don't like Jones at all. I kind of despise him, actually. But he's still the real champ as far as I'm concerned, and I'm looking forward to him coming back and beating the piss out of Cormier, hopefully worse than last time. Not because Cormier is this super-asshole of a person, but because he really needs to be taken down a peg or two. The Vitor/Weidman fight went pretty much exactly as I figured it would. Once we knew that Vitor wouldn't be fighting on TRT anymore, anybody in their right mind should have guessed he'd be nowhere near the same fighter. The only actual surprise about this fight was the fact that Vitor actually had a shot to win it at one point. I think his biggest mistake was thinking he had Weidman in more trouble than he actually did. He clearly hurt him, but Vitor went in there like Weidman was out on his feet and would be easy pickins. Once I saw Weidman cover up I knew he wasn't that bad off and I realized Vitor's one shot at winning had passed. God, the guy just has noooooooo groundgame to speak of. I don't know how the fuck he caught Jones in an armbar. The Arlovski/Browne fight......I don't even know what to say. Both guys showed incredible heart and willpower. Browne just refused to go down, even at the end of the fight. He was basicly out on his feet and still trying to find a way to stay upright. And after Arlovski caught that wild hook from Browne and went down like a sack of potatos I figured he was gonna stay down, but he showed he still has a lot of tenacity left in him. I keep thinking this amazing resurgence is gonna come to a bitter end, but he just keeps finding a way to win. I know it's gonna end soon, but goddamn it's fun to watch right now!! Makdessi never had a chance against Cerrone. I said as soon as the fight was announced that this is a terrible match-up, and Makdessi shouldn't even be fighting at LW, much less against a guy like Cerrone. Still, that's not to take anything away from Cerrone. He did what he was supposed to do; beat Makdessi handily. I agree that giving Cerrone a title shot seems kind of strange fight now, but somebody has to get it, and if not him, then who?? | |

| Great card.
I honestly didn't think Weidman was in that much trouble. He got hit, but I dont think he was teetering or anything. It looked to me like he was covering up and letting Belfort blow his load.
I don't think it's that Belfort has no ground game I think it's that he has no heart. He jas BJJ training. He caught Jon Jones in the arm bar because Jones was standing over him and hadn't started dominating him yet. Belfort's whole thing is once you get on top of him and start dominating him he just gives up like a bitch. Always has...
Cormier didnt bother me that much. He did come off cocky at the presser I will say that, but rumor has it that the UFC told him to start promoting himself. I just don't think he has a clue how to do it. He is a HUGE wwe fan so i think he was trying that and it didnt work at all with the whole quiet down while the champ speaks thing. He's a wrestler they are usually a bit cocky. I thought the bit he said to Jones was kind of cool tbh. Like "i'll be ready for you this time" No big deal. I hate the sentiment that he isnt the real champion though. Fuck that! Jones is not the champion anymore because of shit that he did and nobody else. Whoever got the belt it's theirs.
One thing I was really disappointed in was Rumble. I always knew he had gas tank problems, but man he looked like he quit to me. At the end of the second round when cormier was dropping elbows on him he literally looked like he was looking to the ref to help him. Then cormier got his back in the 3rd round and he practically adjusted cormier's arm into the proper position to get the choke when he was struggling to sink it lol.
Cerone looked bad ass.
The AA fight was great! Browne dropped AA and I was so sure it was over. My heart sank but Brown was so fucking wobbly he couldnt get on him.

| Yeah that's what I meant about Weidman not being that hurt. I think he retreated a little after the punch landed because he felt Vitor's power and got his bell rung a little, but he wasn't wobbly or anything like Vitor seemed to think when he ran in and started trying to pour it on. When they seperated and Weidman came walking forward looking perfectly fine like the fight just started you could practically see Vitor's soul leave his body. lol!! With Cormier, it's just unbelievable to me that he can be such a level-headed and articulate commentator when he's doing the Fox shows, and then turn into a total dude-bro and start dropping bitch and pussy and fuck you like they're going out of style when he's at a presser like at the post show. After seeing how polar opposite the two sides of Jon Jones are, that kind of stuff really raises a red flag for me as to who Cormier really is as a person. Even if he doesn't know how to promote himself, the fact that he goes to that persona as a default is kind of telling IMO. And no, sorry, but Cormier is not the real champ. Technically he is, but we all know better than that! | |
