But yeah, I'm not against gratuitous violence on TV, but I certainly could do without seeing a baby devoured by zombies. That would've been a bit much. No sir...Was definitely Lilly that killed Lori and the baby and then killed the gov.

| So IMO this episode of The Walking Dead sucked hard. Basically nothing happened. Like nothing at all. Rick and Carl survived, which we already knew. Carl is kind of a moody tweener, which we already knew. Michonne survived, which we already knew. Michonne has issues, which we already knew. So what was the big reveal in this episode? Michonne eventually found Rick and Carl in the last 2 minutes? Big fucking deal!! Where's Darryl? Where's Glen and Maggie?! Where's Tyrese?! | |

| I didn't really think too hard about this episode. I think it's because it was the first of the new season...I kinda forget what happened last season so I don't have alot to base my thoughts on. I was happy with the amount of zombies. I thought some stupid stuff happened like when Michone magically found Rick and the boy...like how many zombies roam the earth...EVERYWHERE...and she finds some footprints in the mud and immediately knows it's Rick. Stupid. | |

| I think Carl has officially become my new least-liked character. What a snotty little fucker he was in this episode! His dad's barely alive after getting beaten to within an inch of his life, but Carl can't even be bothered to slow down the slightest bit when they're walking around trying to find a place to live. Then he for some reason decides to bring up Shane out of the fucking blue and throw that in Rick's face. Then when Rick's comatose on the couch, Carl taunts him and pretty much calls him useless and acts like he's King Shit because he manages to get 2 days worth of food without getting killed or bitten......even though there was only one walker in the house and Carl couldn't kill it with 3 goddamn shots fired at it. Yeah, good job you little pissant. | |

| Carl was pretty awesome until this episode, they did the same thing in the comics ,but better. I also thought his acting was kind of weak. | |

| I dont know what you guys have thought of this season, but I am REALLY into it. The last couple of episodes (although not a ton going on) have been INTENSE as hell. That scene last night with Rick hiding under the bed had me nervous as shit lol. I think the directing this year has been great. They have really kind of gone old school horror where everything is fucking nerve wracking haha | |

| Yeah I thought the last two episodes were really good. We're back to being on the road and every day is a struggle just to survive, where the last couple of seasons were more about getting along within the group and trying to keep the peace with other people.
That scene with Rick under the bed was awesome. When the two guys started fighting and the one guy get taken down to the floor is when I really started to freak out. But with you guys being MMA fans like me and having seen someone choked unconscious about once a month or more, I'm sure you were saying to yourselves "Um, OK, he would've been awake by now" when the dude was still out after what seemed to be about about a half hour of lying there unconcsious. But still, a really cool sequence with Rick having to carefully sneak out of the house while also doing it quickly enough to get out before Michonne and Carl get back.
And thankfully, with limited Maggie action so far this season, we got some fresh eye candy in the form of a hot little latina girl with a nice ass and some cut-off shorts. Nothin wrong with that!

Haha, pretty much agree with all of this. I am really looking forward to seeing wtf this "Terminus" is or salvation as they call it. In the book there was a place called salvation, but there is NO WAY they are there yet, because that would pretty much fast forward them to where they are now when they are literally about five RL years behind. Right now they are about on issue 60 of the comic and the comic is up to 120.

| Fistk did you read the "Rise of the Governor" and "Road to Woodbury" books? I know those aren't part of the graphic novel series, but I was just curious if you ever got around to checking those out. My wife just bought them both for me and I'm wondering if they're going to be any good. | |

| I haven't read ,but have heard that Rise of the Governor is awesome. I agree that the stuff with Rick was fucking tense and awesome. Also as an MMA fan every time I see a RnC in TV or movies I'm always thinking GET IN THE FUCKING HOOKS. Also Glen deserved that beating. | |

| I do like the fact that they're on the road again and yes the Rick scene was pretty intense and awesome.
But the goofy James Hetfield/cowardly lion character with the smart mental patient with a mullet and hot latino girl in shorts group is plain stupid IMO...they ruined the episode. Everything about them seemed pressed and fake. I was hoping they got killed off but no such luck. And I gotta say, I think the gay girl that's with Glen is freaking HOT. But it really bothered me how much she knew about the hetfield/lion character...minutes after she meets him she says "that's something I haven't seen before...you smile"...are you kidding me? Or how she tells him that the latino girl loves him and will follow him anywhere.
Did I miss something? Did she know them from the past group?

| Yeah I'm not a fan of this group, but I think I heard that they were in the book, so they're not going away anytime soon. They do seem kind of forced and out of place. The big dude's "red" hair looks ridiculous, Dr. Mullet seems like he doesn't even know what the hell is going and I'm betting he probably has zero knowledge whatsoever of a cure of any kind, and the latina chick- while really hot- just doesn't fin into the landscape of the show at all. I mean Maggie is gorgeous, IMO, and that lesbian is pretty good looking, too, but they fit in. They're kind of dirty and weathered looking and look like they've been through what they've been through. But this girl is walking around in bootie shorts and pig tails. Not to be morbid, but if this was a real zombie apacolypse, she would have been raped to death by a group of sex-starved bandits years ago. | |

Maybe in the novel, but they suck balls so far on the show. I hope they get cooler, but so far, not so much.

I did not read them dude, but my buddy did and he said they were really good. Btw - You can catch up on the walking dead without spending a fortune. They have two compendiums out. The first one is issue 1-48 and the second is 48-96. After that you can read the individual comics on youtube to bring you to 116. They are pretty quick reads. I thought the show would not be as enjoyable because i already knew what was going to happen, but they pretty much only use the charecters from the book and not the storyline at all.

Yeah on the show their arrival is a bit forced in my opinion, but if they are anything like the book it will get pretty cool. I mean if nothing else in the show if the entire group all joins back up again it will be handy to have a military expert around.

That's actually why she bought me these two books instead of the compendiums; she said they were like 70 bucks or some shit like that. I'll probably end up buying them anyway after I'm done with the two I have now.

| I was fairly bored with Sunday's episode. They spent too much time focusing on the drab conversation between Daryl and the farmers daughter. Also, was I supposed to be thinking that she maybe wants to get it on with Daryl? Are they heading that direction with the whole "I want to be a bad girl and get drunk and then ask Daryl if he's ever gotten drunk and done something he regrets" thing? | |

| Oh and the fact that he got all bent out of shape when she started talking about him going to jail..."is that all you think of me?"....when did Daryl EVER care what someone else thought about him? | |

| Lol...I think you are bizarro me.
I loved this episode. I will admit that not a lot happened, but I thought the acting and the charecter development was maybe the best of any episode to date.
If they are going to keep Beth around I am glad they have decided to develop her character finally.
The directing was also phenomenal.
I dont really think Daryl really cared what she said about him being in jail I think he was more or less just picking a fight, because he was still in shutdown mode because he blamed himself for the death of Herschel and losing the prison.
When they walked into the country club and Daryl beat the shit out of that zombie with the golf club I thought that was fucking awesome. He didnt just stab it and take it out, but you could literally see him snapping and letting everything out.
And I thought Daryl finally revealing what he did before the apocalypse and that it was nothing was brilliant. If he was a car mechanic or something it would of been meh, but he was wandering around following Merle and doing nothing. I thought that was awesome. It was almost like Daryl was implying that he needed the apocalypse to find himself.
Before this episode I didnt like Beth at all, but I kind of like her now. When I saw those two pair off I thought, "Oh great now daryl is just going to have to spend the rest of his life saving her ass" but she was pretty much the one that saved him this episode.
I also thought that it was pretty badass the way they setup the country club implying that there was some kind of revolt. All of the people dressed in fancy clothes were hanging from nooses and the club workers were on the floor, haha.

| I'm with Sam; This might have been one of my least favorite episodes so far of the entire series. I mean I get it, character development is important and we haven't seen Darly get all emotional until now and we haven't seen Beth do anything besides sing until now, but I am just looking forward to getting past this phase of isolating all of the characters into small groups and using entire episodes to have one of the groups talk about their feelings. Like literally what happened in this episode? Did anything happen at all? Yeah, Daryl cried and opened up a little, but what purpose does that serve the plot or the fans going forward on the series? I'm just kind of over it already. Meet up with the other groups somewhere, kick some walker ass, start rebuilding, and discover a new villain to throw down with. Enough of this soppy shit. | |
