- "I've said it many times that this guy is the whole package. At such a young age, taking on the names and beating the guys that he has. He might not be a household name, but when he beat Matyushenko, I was blown away with how he's done it. He's dealing with a lot of stuff that puts a lot of pressure on people and at a very young age.

- "Bones" is a star in the making, a potential future two-division champion who may very well go down as the greatest of all time. He's certainly got all the physical tools to make such a dream a reality, as well as the mental capacity to continue to grow into his skin.
LINK Yea know, this got me thinking about all these "Super Stars" - Ultimately, the current title holders. Anderson, GSP, Edgar and Jones now... They are putting allot of people out of a job, or making it VERY tough to keep one. Look at Franklin, Kos, BJ(as well as others)they are all great fighters, but will never (as long as the current title holders remain) will be top of the food chain again. As much as I like having a good solid Champion, maybe it's a good thing if it cycles through champions more often... Just look at what Silva is doing with the competition in the cage... toying with them... claims there is no one worthy of fighting him. Is he right? Chail sure put him to the test, but really, no one else has... GSP out thinks his opponent, and although doesn't finish the fight too often, usually takes it to the end and in a dominating fashion. Edgar and Jones are the newest players up to bat, but from their last showings, they are going to be tops for awhile... So what do you guys think, is it a good thing we currently have such dominating champions?

| I think it is great to have champions as dominant as the ones who represent the UFC divisions, it send a message to the rest of MMA and the world that they are the best. Which I think is a very important component to the overall quality and legitimacy of MMA. The new breed of fighters who are taking up the sport at 14 years old or younger are truly going to be the next level in the evolution in the sport; Jon Jones is a good example but even has average experience for his age compared to some fighters who started fighting at 16 years old or younger. Rory MacDonald's first fight was 3 months after his 16th Birthday, which to current standards is crazy; however is the new trend in the sport.
The younger these fighters start there development the better they will be at younger ages; we are starting to see that transition now.
I don't think its sad to see once dominant fighters fall by the way side as that is the sport, ever evolving; and if you can't change with it, you really have no place but in the sports history. They will maintain the respect and legacies they have earned, but with the understanding that they were pioneers in this alway changing sport.

| Of course its good to have dominating champions. BUT thats why they need to keep Strikeforce ... keep the guys fighting for mid-sized purses until they build their recond again. | |
