WWE Star Triple H Says UFC Needs To Evolve More Than WWE

I don't see us needing to evolve to what UFC does because quite frankly sometimes the fights are long and boring, guys lying around and sometimes the fights are fast and over in five seconds. I've always thought one of the things about us, if you look at us solely from a sports standpoint, is that we always give you a good show. We're never going to give you a crap game.

I can't stand the high public areas either, and know exactly what he's talking about.

Ya gotta consider the source. Triple H isn't in there to "fight"...he's in there for entertainment value and purpose. Of course he's gonna consider it boring...there are no chairs being thrown and no feet being stomped to simulate hard hits...no backflips off the turnbuckle. MMA is evolving by leaps and bounds compared to WWE...they do the same stuff in WWE they did 25 years ago when I was watching. UFC however is a completely different animal than it was just 10 years ago.

All this is coming from someone that doesn't understand what fighting is all about.

Considering the WWE is still doing the same stunts it was when I actually watched it 10-15 years ago, I think Triple H is alittle confused.

3 Scenarios you will see at any pro wrestling event

1. Ref gets accidentaly KO'd, either someone comes from the back to help or someone gets hit with an illegal object, and the ref wakes up just in time to issue the pin

2. Random Superstar making speech in ring, is ambushed by his arch enemy in the ring, more help arrives, the ambushers are thrown outta the ring and a yelling match ensues.

3. Guy rips off the turnbuckle exposing the metal part, but it backfires and he is thrown into it himself.


The list can go on and on. If anything WWE has devolved, that shit was actually very fun to watch when I was 12

Whoa.....Stop right there!

There is nothing "sport" about pro wrestling. If it's already determined beforehand who's going to win, there in exactly zero sport involved.

Of course WWE is gonna be more exiting; it's scripted. Just like sit-coms are more exciting than real life. But in the end, you realize that you are watching a TV show, and the dad in that family on TV didn't actually save the world, and the son and daughter don't actually talk to each other like college educated adults, and the couple that lives nextdoor to them aren't actually model/actors, etc, etc.

This coming from the same guy who is going to wrestle Kermit the frog on a Halloween special.
