| - Quote :
- Former UFC welterweight title challenger Josh Koscheck (15-5 MMA, 13-5 UFC) will return from a nearly year-long layoff when he fights at November's UFC 139 event.
And he could do so as a middleweight.
The fighter announced his return via Twitter on Sunday.
UFC 139 takes place Nov. 19 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif. The night's main card airs on pay-per-view, though it's not clear if Koscheck will be part of the broadcast.
Koscheck, who didn't identify an opponent, trains in San Jose at American Kickboxing Academy. However, the longtime welterweight said a move to 185 pounds is possible for the upcoming event.
One rumored possibility is Stephan Bonnar, a castmate on "The Ultimate Fighter 1" who's done his career work at 205 pounds. However, Bonnar clashed with the fighter over his Trash Talkin Kids business when Koscheck threatened a lawsuit over a T-shirt that bore his likeness. Both have discussed the possibility of fighting each other at 185 pounds.
Regardless of the eventual opponent, Koscheck fights for the first time since a December loss to champion Georges St-Pierre. A broken orbital bone suffered in the fight has kept Koscheck on the sidelines. Source As much as I used to dislike him, KOS has really grown on me since the show. Im looking forward to seeing him in action again. Is it just me or would KOS vs Bonnar just look odd.....

| Kos hasn't grown on me at all, I still can't stand him. Hopefully he debut's at Middleweight against Leben and gets a healthy dose of KTFO in the process.
The Bonnar fight just wouldn't make sense. I know the history with the t-shirts, but no one payed a whole lot of attention to it...

| I'm with BKN on this one. I barely even noticed that there was a tiff between those two. I really hope the UFC does not try and shove that down our throats in an effort to promote the fight. On top of that, Koscheck vs Bonnar does not peak my interest whatsoever in the first place.
I actually can't really think of a fight for Kos at MW that does peak my interest........
maybe Bisping? | |

| Heh GSP didn't "finish" Kos.... he just put him on the sidelines for a year... sigh
Regardless I look forward to seeing Kos back ... I like watching the guy fight... I just hate his trash chats...

| I hope Fitch goes to 185 as well, and Dana makes them fight to keep their jobs. | |

| I think josh is to small for middleweight. I see most of the top 10 beating him with no problem. | |

| According to BJPenn.com Bonnar is facing Kyle Kingsbury at UFC 139, so we can rule him out. | |

| Heh ... seeing Josh fight Vitor would satisfy the bloodlust many fight fans seek when watching mma. Kos would bleed so much so hard for so long he would think the beating he took from GSP was a light sparring session. | |

| Or, he could embarrass Vitor and be in the top 10 MWs real real fast.... I honestly don't know it Vitor could deal with KOS's wrestling... | |

| ^^^^^^
Mark Munoz could be a good match up with him. Hell even chael at this point could interesting. Only problem between kos and Chael is who do you actually cheer for? neither one are exactly fan favorites.

| Sorry Josh simply could not handle Vitor's size, speed, and skill .... standing or on the ground. BUT.... I'd ppv that one!
