The 22 Dumbest Event Names in the History of "King of the Cage"

This isn't really relevant to any recent MMA news, but it's funny as fuck and I figured you guys would get a good laugh at some of these. They are fantastically awful!!

* The trend was officially started in 1993 with Pancrase: Yes, We Are Hybrid Wrestlers 1-4. I guess the promotion was tired of curious locals asking them, “Say, are you guys hybrid wrestlers or something?”

** The final UFC event to carry a name was UFC 125: Resolution, on January 1st, 2011, but by that point, event names had almost completely fallen out of fashion in the UFC. There were only five UFC events that carried names in 2009-2010, including UFC 99: The Comeback and UFC 112: Invincible.

hahahahaha Yeah they really need to fire there PR guy and get some one new. Some of those were just plain horrible.

Moral victory? November rain? Train wreck? Restitution?compression test?

If i didnt know any better it almost sounds like the theme here is "King of the cage, where fighters come to die"

But my favorite might be Magnaflow, because all it is is the name of a muffler company who sponsors some of their shows (see the bottom right corner on a few of the posters). I can just picture the KOTC braintrust in a meeting saying "OK, we're stumped! We have no idea what to name this one." And the Magnaflow rep just happened to be walking past right then and popped his head in the door and whispered "Maaaaagnaaaaflowwwww......." real quietly and then dissapeared out the door.

And the seed was planted.
