here than I can, so I’ll just present the facts: Amanda Lucas, eldest
daughter of George Lucas, will make her Japanese mixed martial arts
debut at Deep 55 Impact on Aug. 26, taking on Hikaru Shinohara, it was
announced on Sunday. Lucas, a purple belt in Brazillian jiu-jitsu, has
not had an MMA fight since 2009.
With only two professional fights to her credit, Lucas
has tasted both victory and defeat in her young MMA career. Known as
“Powerhouse,” Lucas was knocked out in the third round of her 2008 pro
debut but rebounded the following year with a unanimous decision victory
to even her record. Currently training at Gilbert Melendez’s Skrap Pack
in San Francisco, Lucas has not competed since earning her first win in
November 2009.
