TUF final 2

We haven't really had any posts about TUF for a while, so I guess in short, what are your thoughts on Chiesa vs Al?

I gotta say, I have no clue HOW Chiesa has gotten this far, he's a HORRIBLE fighter....really the worst I've seen on the show in a while. I keep seeing comments here and there about him being a "beast" on the ground. I see nothing beastly about the dude except his unkempt head. His striking is pathetic, his entire octagon presence is really pitiful. And somehow he's mounted his past two opponents and pitter patted them into a TKO stoppage.

I think Iaquinta's striking is gonna come through and KO or TKO Chiesa in the second round.

I don't man...I COMPLETELY agree with you about his standup. It's awful. His footwork is terrible and he moves around like someone who is too tall for his body.

But I wouldn't call his GnP pitty patter. I will agree with you that he doesn't seem to be hitting hard, but he must have heavy hands and deceptive power, because both of his last two opponents went out after a few shots. When he got off both of them they had no idea where they were.

That being said I think Iaquinta kills him. Like you said Chiesa's standup is pathetic.

Agree with both of you. Just seems like the type of guy who hangs in there until an opportunity comes up and somehow falls into a great position with a guy gassed out, and then takes advantage. I think Iaquinta is a bit too polished for him. Not sure he can finish him, but will certainly prevent takedowns and pick him apart on the feet.
