| So, the whole idea of TUF being "live" this season as turned out to be a complete exaggeration. The only thing that was "live" about the entire episode is the fight at the end of the show. The rest of the show is exactly like all the previous seasons...they fill the hour with edited scenes from the week prior to the fight.
I guess thinking about it, even in the past seasons, they always show the fight in it's entirety with no editing...so there's absolutely nothing different this season about any other season.
Kinda irritating to me that they made such a huge deal about this being a ground breaking event....yet the literally changed nothing.
Oh well...on to the fight. Man, I hate when the better guy gets caught and put to sleep. Cruickshank had SOOO much more talent and so much more to offer in the season than Vick...Vick has no confidence and limited skills...he will lose his next.
Thoughts? | |

| I think the new format is pretty cool. But, I had already gotten the gist that it was only the fight live. I like that they choose the next fight live as well. I have a feeling that Cruikshank will be back no matter what. He has a ton of potential and if there's an injury or some one goes bitch and drops out (which would really look weak now that dude didn't drop out after his pops died) I think we will see him back. | |

| I guess I don't see a new format at all. The only thing that appeared new was the brief interviews before the fight...which seemed super awkward and the brief post fight interview....where the interviewer appeared to mistakenly congratulate Cruikshank on his loss...haha.
But yeah, sucks that Cruikshank lost...he has tons of potential, I hope he gets a chance to come back, he's fun to watch.

| I always love when they shove a mic in someones face minutes after they get brutally KO'd. Cruikshank's response when asked to recap getting caught. "Honestly, I don't remember much. I will have to watch the fight."
Was bummed to see the (imo) least tallented guy in the house win like that. However, Cruikshank is probably kicking himself for really overlooking his opponent. I didn't like the interview before the fight when he goes on saying stuff like "I've been training Judo since I was 4 years old and won tons of fight.... what has this guy done?"
Talk all the shit you want after you walk through someone. But prior to that, you better be preparing for the biggest war of your life. I don't care if the UFC schedules you to fight a 10 year old girl.

| I agree with everything you said Stock......sucks that (also IMO) the least talented guy got a flash KO on one of the most talented guys on the show.
But yeah, he overlooked him. He played with him until he decided to rush him and go for a takedown...apparently he didn't time the takedown so well.

| To me it was a tipical show... (Kinda what I expected) and yea, same same.
The part that shocked me the most, was next weeks pick!!
Dominic realy threw a loop on Faber with the "you pick your guy" then to have NOBODY step up to accept the fight after Faber asked who was ready...
THAT was a huge hit against Faber's team in my eyes... was no one realy willing to step up?! I was rooting for Faber and his team at the start of the show.... but now?
WAR CRUIZ!!!!! | |

| What happened? My DVR stopped recording right before the pick portion of the show. | |

| So did mine Stock...one of the guys here at work was telling me about that.
And I was rooting for Faber's team at the beginning too...but as soon as Faber tried to get the drama going by getting all "alpha-male" (see what I did there?) with confronting Cruz about what he allegedly said, I immediately decided to start rooting for team Cruz.
I thought it was pretty standup of Cruz to not get involved in the drama and apologize for offending his parents.

| I'm with Samger here. There really isn't any "new format" to speak of. And I gotta say I am very, very relieved that this is the case. The idea of watching these guys sit around the house and chat and play cards or whatever for an hour every week almost made me not even want to watch this season. Thankfully it's almost the same as it's always been.

| Cruickshank is built like a wrestler, has great wrestling and is a Tae Kwon Do guy. He is more talented than Vick for sure.
The boy just got caught, that's all.
We all want to see him back in the wild card.

| I really thought Cruickshank would go far in the competition after his opening fight on episode 1. I guess he still could if he gets the wild card spot. | |
