Nick Diaz just no showed the UFC Conference Call Today

That is a far cry from no-showing at a press conference.

Is it me or does Diaz have bottom of the barrell management? I mean he's either ALL excuses, or he truly has no idea what's going on and when. I know he's a grown man and doesn't need a babysitter, but when you're representing pro-athletes, you have to know what to expect. If they were good at organizing shit, they wouldn't need a manager for the most part. I mean Jared Allen doesn't just show up unannounced at charity events. His manager will say "ok we have offers from this and this and this, NFL requires blah, which one do you want to do?". Then when that day rolls around his manager will let him know in advance and make sure he's ready. Nick isn't the brightest bulb on the tree, but he doesn't need to be. He punches people for a living. Jared Allen puts on a purple shirt and chases people. Their managers make sure all their ducks are in a row when they're off the clock. Good ones do, at least. I don't see any other half retarded fighters with this problem, and there are more than enough examples.

I probably would have showed up at that press conference,” Diaz stated.

Well, its a lesson in life for everyone, it's kinda late in life I think at 28 years old though..

Did he learn anything in the last couple of weeks? I doubt it, he was probly stoned through the whole thing...
He'll continue to pay the $100k and still think he's gettting a good deal.

What do you mean still think he's getting a good deal?! It doesn't sound like he thinks a good deal right now. He obviously doesn't think the person(s) is doing a good job.

It sounds more to me like he knows he has poor management, but he's probably not going to do anything about it. He'll just let it be because that's the way it already is, and it would take too much effort to change it.

A lawyer isn't going to act as your manager and babysit you, wiping your ass and telling you what time dinner is.

Agree with ChokeV, time to nut up and take some responsibility for yourself, or else get someone who can for a lot less than 100k. Sounds simple enough.

Or even better yet, get Nick to follow Nate around and maybe he'll figure it out by osmosis:

If I'm paying someone that much money to make sure I'm where I'm supposed to be- especially when I'm spending as much time as I can training for the biggest fight of my life- I damn sure expect that person to come through.

I think it's time I head to Nick's camp with a fat bag and have a sit down with him. Explain to him that for 20% less than he is paying this guy, I will actually take care of his business arrangements.

It is so hard to take this situation seriously when
you are seeing it from an outside perspective.

I can't imagine what guys in Nick's team think about
his antics, I think it would be kind of embarrassing for
the team to some extent. Honestly, how could it not
look bad on the team and/or the Caesar Gracie camp.
