Anderson Silva interested in fighting Nick Diaz for return fight, Diaz interested as well

My two favorite fighters, so I'd hate to see one defeat (or retire) the other, but given that they both seem nearly ready to hang up the gloves for good sometime in the near future anyway, I say why the hell not?!
No matter what happens, it would be one hell of a show!

should be a good fight, if i was a gambling man i would probably put my money on silva for the win.

Yeah while I do think it would a really fun and exciting fight, it really is a bad stylistic match-up for Diaz.
Diaz does most of his damage with his opponent pressed up against the cage, but Silva excels in the clinch, so Diaz would probably be in trouble if he spent too much time on the inside, especially given that Diaz wouldn't be the taller fighter in this fight, which he isn't used to. So that would lead to an open field stand up fight, and while Diaz has great boxing, he doesn't have the fastest hands in the game. Silva would be able to counter him fairly often I think.

If I had to predict it, I'd say Diaz gets dropped early and often, but gets right back up and back in the fight each and every time. He takes hard shots throughout the fight, but actually manages to rock Silva and overwhelm him at some point in the later rounds. Silva survives though, and does enough to take a UD from a bloody but game Diaz, or maybe even pours it on enough at the end to steal a TKO in the 5th.

This would be a good comeback fight for both of these guys. Silva coming back from a broken leg and Diaz coming back from a broken brain.

Yeah I don't really see any way Diaz wins this fight (unless Silva comes in with ridiculously shitty cardio), but I also don't see any way this isn't an awesome fight to watch, and that's why I want it to happen.

Diaz could probably hang in there if Silva is apprehensive about leg kicks. Ultimately Silva has way too much power either way, and I don't see Diaz going for a takedown.
But if Silva is a little shy around leg kicks, I could see Diaz constantly coming forward with low impact combinations and frustrating Silva.... for a while.

Maybe they'll give Silva those old school Pancrase shin guards.

They should just let Silva wear armor on his legs. But to make it fair, Diaz is allowed to bring his nunchucks.
