Rich Franklin (29-6 MMA, 14-5 UFC) and Cung Le (8-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC)
will serve as the main event for UFC on FUEL TV 6 in Macau. UFC
President Dana White announced the targeted headliner shortly after the
post-fight press conference for UFC on FOX 4 in Los Angeles last night.
Franklin and Le had been scheduled to fight earlier this year at UFC
148, but that bout was scrapped so that Franklin could step in for an
injured Vitor Belfort, and fight Wanderlei Silva at UFC 147. Franklin
won that rematch with Wanderlei by unanimous decision.
The former Strikeforce middleweight champion, Cung Le, remained on
the UFC 148 card and fought Patrick Cote. Le ended up defeating “The
Predator” by unanimous decision that night, collecting his first UFC
victory in the process.

| Lackluster headliner, imo.
I see no problem with Rich outpointing his way to a decision in this one. Maybe Franklin will go for the kill after 6 minutes when Le is gassed, but I wouldn't bet my house on it.
I think Bruce Leroy is on this card too, but that's about it. | |
