Cant say i blame the guy. his chin above all is very weak now days. Give him a can to fight so he can leave with a win...hopefully. but i think any one in the top ten mw or lhw will probably take out franklin.

| Such an awesome fighter. If he had even an average chin he would of been an all-time eliter imo. | |

Really? I don't know about that. I've never been of the impression that he had a suspect chin. He's only really been KO'd by some of the best, hardest punchers in the game (Vitor, A. Silva, Cung Le). Hell, even when Wanderlei caught him clean he couldn't KO him or get the finish. And Anderson absolutely lit him up with every strike in the book, but both of those fights ended more by way of Franklin being just overwhelmed and hurt than they did by way of classic TKO/KO. I just always saw Franklin as one of those guys with no real glaring weakness, but no real one single scary attribute that stood out, either. If you don't have that one prominent skill that is elite, you're not going to be able get over that hump and reign over the top guys who do have it, IMO.

| I will always remember that KO over Nate Quarry. One of the best straight punch KOs I can remember.
I always love how he trained with guys that beat the shit out of him. He used to look like he just got done boxing for 5 rounds before the fight would ever start. Nothing like watching a guy with two black eyes during the weigh-ins.

| i kinda agree with trigg...fuck! what the hell is going on?!!!
but i have also always seen frankilin as a fighter that doesnt have anything standing out about him. pretty good at everything but not one aspect exceptional. just like trigg, i too think that you need to be a master of one martial art aspect and good at everything else to stand out. even if the fighter doesnt use his primary skill, a-la hendo, he still relies on it to use other skills.
i do like rich personally, he seems like a pretty intelligent, funny, nice guy.

| Rich was and still is my favorite UFC fighter. Great fighter with well rounded skills and an attitude and respect that's admirable...alot of these younger shit talking morons could learn alot from someone like him in regards to how one should carry themselves inside and outside the octagon. Pure class. I'll miss seeing him fight, but I do think it's time to hang em up. | |

I actually love that fight. I think it would be a good tune up fight for Bisping after his injury time down as well.
