Silva first destroyed Franklin back in Oct. 2006 to win the middleweight title. It was just the second fight under the UFC banner for the Brazilian badass, but he hasn't lost since. That includes stomping Franklin again in the rematch at UFC 77 in Oct. 2007.

This right here proves that he doesn't really believe it himself. He's basicly saying "This is what I'm supposed to believe, even if I don't".

I would love to see a Cinderella Story unfold in the UFC right now. I can't think of anybody else that I would rather see it happen to than Rich. I have always respected the guy as a fighter and a person. The guy works hard and in the end that will pay off for him. He isn't a better fighter than Anderson Silva be any means, but on the right day he could grind out a win and end his career with some redemption.
