I will use the first post in this thread to update the standings.
The league will last until the later of 8/4/2013 or a lapse of fights for one week.
Remember you can trade any fighter with another teammate or from the undrafted free agent list at any time (first come; first serve) at a cost of 1 point (2 trades max for the season).

I'll clean up the first post once I get some time.

Last night, Berserk was the big winner scoring 4 points with Machida knocking out Bader.

I'm a little confused.

I thought the rules stated that 1 point would be rewarded for a loss and 2 points for a win. So shouldn't Berserk have been awarded 2 for the straight-up win and me awarded 1 for the loss?

From the draft Rules Page.

Quote :

a. Each team will be ranked by total points based on the following scoring.
b. Win = 2 Points
c. Loss = -1 Point
d. Draw/No Contest = 0 Points
e. A Finish (TKO/Sub) = 1 bonus point
f. A win against another fighter in the league = 1 bonus point

Berserk gets 2 points for a win.
He also gets 1 bonus point for the finish + 1 bonus point for beating a fighter on someone else's team.
= 4 pionts total.

You get -1 point for a loss.

I didn't see the minus in there when I read the rules; I thought it said "Loss = 1 Point".

Oh man, this might get ugly for me. I based my whole draft mostly on frequency of fighting, regardless of likelihood of winning. I was banking on accumulating a lot of points by getting the one point for my fighters "showing up" even if they didn't win, and therefore drafted fighters who just fight a lot, win or lose.

I guess I'll be using my two trade options very soon.

I would like to make a trade from the Free Agents.

As would I.

Drop Cheick Kongo and add Chad Mendes.

I would like to drop Faber for Edgar... just to shake things up, plus who knows when Faber will fight next.... wait....can I do that or is Faber needed to fulfill the weight class... damn it...

OK guys, here is the deal.
I feel bad for some of you all misunderstanding the rules.

As long as you keep your weight class requirement, I will grant one trade this week without the 1 point penalty (and will not count toward your 2 trade max for the year).

Chrom, if you drop Faber you will only have one guy left from Feather, Bantam, and Fly. You can still do this trade, but you will have to pay the penalty point, and it will count toward your 2 trade max for the year. Let me know what you want to do.

Trigger, your trade is complete. (Mendes replaces Kongo).

Man... thats a tough call now that I think of it.... since say I do make the trade... I go head to head with Berserk, if Henderson wins I get really F'd in the A.... I have to think a bit more on this...

God damnit! That sucked so much. Who knows how that fight would have played out had he not blown his knee.

I had a hard time figuring out when he blew it out. It looked like he blew it right after throwing an overhand right. Although, I wonder if he tweaked it while he was bouncing around like Dominick Cruz with his 260 pound frame.
