Dealing with hypotheticalls... What happens if Mayweather gets starched?

So hypothetically what happens if Mayweather just gets lit up and starched in the early rounds? What happens to Mayweather and what becomes of Conors boxing career/UFC future?

Does Mayweather have a rematch clause in his contract, and would he exercise it?
He did say this was it for him. I wonder if that changes with a loss.

He's pretty old as far as prize fighters go, and at this point he's above the sport of boxing. In other words, getting KO'd, as miniscule as the chances are, won't affect much. Boxing doesn't need Floyd and vice versa.

As far as Connor is concerned, he won't make any P4P list with one freak KO. He might get a bunch of offers to fight scrubs in his own weight class (Floyd is quite a bit smaller) who are trying to make a name for themselves, where he'll get slapped around and eventually realize that MMA is a far more worthwhile pursuit.

A loss for Mayweather could mean close to a billion dollars for him. They say he will clear 350mil this time. Then for the rematch the same and if he beats McGregor in the rematch the war to settle the score lol.
