wow...i was checking it out..i still browse it daily but dont post much anymore, well i tried to respond to a post about ppv tonite....I dont even know how to use it anymore after the big change....i couldnt for the life of me respond......i hate to say it but u-f.ca isnt the same anymore and not in a good way, its a shame cause i like all the people and conversations...and hell even petes non handicapped vagina! but the new format is no bueno!

Yeah, I was being stubborn and hanging in over there until the bitter end. Thinking that maybe M would tighten up and get the place back to it's former glory. I watched as one, two, three, four days went by without a single post and I finally gave in. I love being over here though, mostly due to the fact that all of the same people are here. You guys are some of the best guys to enjoy this sport with.

i didn't want to but i've deleted my UF-ca from my favourites. it's been a part of my life since 2007 but it's time to move on.

i share the sentiment of it not being the same great site that it once was. there is a lot on memories and histories within those thousands threads that i hate to see it die. but it is what it is.

thank god for the invitation to this site otherwise i wouldn't have bothered looking for another forum to join. god imagine a Sunday morning free of MMA chats?

I actually hope it doesn't totally shut down, becasue like Kingpin said, there's a history of lots of great threads there, and I would like to be able search through them to find something specific if I wnated. Kind of like an archive of sorts.

I still drop in, it's kinda like my daily routine like it's been for the last 5yrs, but I haven't posted in a couple weeks. It's just dead. Yeah it's sad because there's so much history over there but I think we all saw this day coming. I remember thinking when this place first fired up, then M did his big revamp the next day, that it would only be a month or so until he disappeared again and people would start coming this way. It sucks that guys like Fist and Nick are going to go down with the ship. But it's up to them at the end of the day, IMO this place will still be an extension of that one with or without them.

The old site is dead, because there is an issue with replying to posts. The M didnt know about it, I just told him.

Yeah, that's what I thought (sort of).

It was a little slow after the overhaul anyway, but like I said before, all of the sudden I couldn't even post at all. And abviously nobody else could, either.
There seems to be a few people who still can post because of what browser they have or something, but it's gotta suck just talking to one or two people all day about how quiet it is.

Ah well, it sounds like everyone pretty much shares the same sentiment;
if the site is active, we're still gonna visit. It shouldn't have to be all or nothing.

I wish we could see monster,cable, reep,discgolfen and nick over here more often.

Reeps here, he hasn't posted, but he has been busy fighting, putting his own site http://www.westernmassmma.com/ together and getting set for lil Reep. Puddin/Disc fell off a long time ago... but all the other fellas would be great to see...

Just left the site myself, couldn't figure out why the hell no one was posting anything. Figured out that I couldn't post myself with IE8, I switched to Chrome and I was able to post. I had no idea about this site until Butterknifeninja & Drifter sent me PMs about it.... for the longest time I had no idea that I even had a PM, old site was awful for that.... I will miss thee UF.ca but I'm digging this site more since it's more active.

BTW how the hell do some of you guys have so much money already... I'm falling behind.

Also, The Diplomat dissapeared awhile ago after bitching about the site dying for the last 3 years. Where's he been?

But yeah; I think you're more or less right about the situation. I've heard a few people say that they tried to contact M, but didn't really hear anything back. And really, ever since the update/overhaul thing, there has been practically nothing happening in terms of corrections.

But here's the thing;
Yeah, maybe it's fucked over there, and yeah you guys got a good site up and running over here, but I just don't think it's absolutely necessary to outright declare termination of membership from one site to be a productive member of another site.
You guys put together a great site over here. I don't think people are gonna ignore that....regardless of what happens "over there".

Yea, the one thing I'm not trying to do is to get people to pick sides. I still hit up UF.ca every day to see if there is anything new there - it's not animosity that made drifter create this site, it was just disappointment that nothing is being done over there. The whole idea was to get the same people over here so we can have the same good discussions, just with betting and Top 10s.

If that site gets up and running then I'm sure most people will go back. I'm cool with that, shit I started there in 2007, so I have a lot of history there too. I was just referring to the fact that things won't get back to the way they were back in the day (IMO of course).
