- After Anderson Silva dominated Nick Diaz for the majority of their UFC 183 main event fight in January, the last thing anyone wanted to see was a rematch.
Unless you happened to be the winner of that one-sided beatdown, apparently.
Perhaps disappointed that he didn't finish the first fight, Silva took to social media on Wednesday to plead with UFC president Dana White for another fight against Diaz.
"I believe that there [are] some things that are unfinished between me and Nick Diaz," Silva said via Instagram. "I now hope that you, Dana White, can accept my request and make a rematch possible in my country, Brazil."
Silva is currently in limbo while fighting a Nevada State Athletic Commission complaint against him for failed drug tests before and after his fight with Diaz. Silva faced an April 9 deadline to oppose the complaint but was given a three-week extension. continued...

| How about we wait and see what the commission does with you first before you start calling for fights. | |

| He clearly has not vision of ever competing for a belt again if he is calling out an unranked guy he just defeated while be juiced to do so.
I'm done with Silva. I wish he would just ride into the sunset as well.

| I would imagine his reasoning is that he feels people are questioning whether or not he really is the better fighter, due to the steroid issue, and he feels he still needs to prove that he is. I don't think anybody is really questioning whether he is a better fighter than Diaz, roids or no roids. He should just move on from this. | |

Ehhh...... I'm inclined to sort of give him a pass on the last fight. I'd probably be a little rusty/skittish too if I completely snapped my leg in half after my last fight and couldn't even walk and then spent an entire year rehabbing. I agree that he didn't look his best, but looking at it realistically, did anybody truly think he was going to? And I'm a bigger Diaz fan than I am a Silva fan, but even in Silva's less-than-top form, Diaz had absolutely nothing to offer him. A rematch is pointless, IMO.

| If there was a rematch only 2 things would happen.
1. Silva wins by UD (again)
2. Silva wins by tko/ko.
Would rather see Silva take ona bit more of an challenge. Kennedy or Bisping or LE all come to mind.

| Silva has looked like shit in his last 3 fights and Diaz has looked like shit for the last 3 years. They both looked like shit in their fight and put on a shitty fight.
Yeah, lets book that one again...

| I could watch a rematch. Both boys are a weak reflection of who they were but would be desperate enough to put on a good show. Nicks heart is gone but he'll fight for cash and Anderson will fight to clean up his legacy. | |
