Weidman out with injury,fight with vitor cancelled

I am shocked, it is so rare we ever have a title match get cancelled over an injury.

Is it just me, or does it seem like Weidman is injured and/or has surgery a lot?

I hope we're not looking at another Anthony Pettis scenario here at MW.

this is ridiculous, ufc's schedule has been absolutely littered with canceled fights in the last while. it is obviously the way they train, go too hard in sparring, and it is obviously not the way to go. for me it doesnt make sense to go too hard on way level, it shortens your career by wearing out the body quicker, it loses you money by canceling pay days and it loses fans who cannot rely on fights happening.

Yeah, the UFC might to re-thing it's insurance policy.
I remember before the UFC offered full insurance to it's fighters there weren't even close to this many injuries.

I'm not saying they shouldn't have insurance, but maybe the policy is too lucrative to the fighters or something and they're feeling a little to free to take advantage of it. I don't know, I just think it needs to be revisted is all, because this is a bonafide problem lately.
