The Ultimate Fighter 20 Discussion Thread (*SPOILERS*)

all i will say is that stare down between rose and jojo was intense and gave me shivers just thinking about that fight. I have a feeling that will be fight of the season right there. Glad tecca beat bec. I was going to pull for bec at first but then when her and the other girls started that drama with tecca living in the same room i quickly changed my mind and wanted tecca to win. i mean seriously what does it matter? You go over your fight at the gym with the coaches. you do your training at the gym with the coaches. You cover all your key points at the gym with the coaches. what do we do at the house? sleep,eat, and with this season start lots and lots of drama and talk smack about others. Every one of those girls who booed tecca at the end of there fight are just soar that she got the spot to return and not them. I also love how they act like she was traitor but lets be honest here any one of those girls would have jumped on the opportunity. To be honest i would have chosen tecca come back as well. most of the other girls who lost really looked lack luster. tecca at least put on a good fight in her first loss.

Like i didnt have enough reason to hate angela magana from tuf 20. She now compares herself to being better than mayhem miller and calls Bisping a chump. But if we all know Bisping he had a response for her and it was perfectly worded too.

Glad to see herring got subbed. maybe that might help shut her up now. but i doubt it.

Currently watching the episode...good Lord this is the worst episode to date in regards to drama. These girls are so petty, it's almost embarrasing to watch.

I agree completely.
After the last few episodes I didn't think it could get any worse. But shit, how wrong I was! I think the epitome was when Randa got in the van with Carla and Felice after they basically bullied everyone into doing separate practices. So they start aggressively ganging up on her and she basically just tries to shut it down by saying "Dont talk to me" and they proceed to call her rude while simultaneously mocking her relentlessly. The irony was almost unbearable.

I really enjoyed Pigface talking all that shit, saying she could tell that Randa was weak minded, ganging up on her with Carla and tormenting her and all that garbage, and then getting tapped in the first round. That was one of the high points for me so far! lol

Yeah definitely, that win for Randa was awesome. I really like Randa, she and Tecia seem to be a couple of the most motivated fighters on the show...and don't care at all for the drama. I liked Carla until this episode, but she really showed her immaturity big time.

Randa also might have the nicest boobs on the show.
I know that doesn't say a ton when we are talking about 115 pounders.

It's a daytime talkshow with a bunch of über-opinionated women who seem to all always be on their collective periods, and they talk about irrelevant bullshit- like who looked bad at the Grammys, or who's dating who in Hollywood- as if its the most important shit in the world. There's some real bonafide hags that have been hosts on it, like Star Jones, Rosie O'Donnell, and Barbara Walters. Hence, the joke about being the hottest chick on The View not carrying much weight.

You could also sub in "Thats like being the hottest (guest on Jerry Springer/ first lady of the United States/ women's Olympic shotputter).

So I didn't really get the whole idea that this was the best fight of the season so far. I was kind of bored with it. That's not to say it didn't have alot of action, just not enjoyable, entertaining action. Good win for Jessica, by the 3rd round she pretty much sapped Aisling's energy and desire IMO, so good win, but not super exciting as it was pegged.

Yeah I didn't hear anywhere that this was supposed to be "the best fight of the season" (maybe it was called that in a promo I wasn't paying attention to or something), but maybe it was I guess, at least from the standpoint of being the most competitive. However, I think given that we are now in the quarterfinals, most of the fights will be much more competitive than we saw early on in the tournament.
I think Penne has to be one of the favorites at this point, along with Randa, Carla, and the winner of the Rose/Jojo Calderwood fight.

Yeah, Pettis made the comment that this was probably the best fight of the season.

I still think Rose will win the season based upon the fights we've seen. She seems the most confident and the most put together all around

Yeah I'm still going with Rose. And I'm still really, really bummed that her and Calderwood are fighting each other. They're my two favorites by far, as fighters and as cuties!

my money is on the winner of Rose/Jojo to take the whole thing. But would love to see Randa take it though too.

I honestly think Rose is gonna smoke Calderwood. Rose looked like a killer in her fight, while Calderwood barely squeaked by. And you could normally say Jojo probably just fought a tougher opponent, but that's a hard sell, given that she's the 2 seed, so she was supposed to have a much easier first round fight than Rose (who is the 7 seed I think).

yeah but those rankings dont mean squat rhanda was the 14th seed and beat both girls who were much higher ranked than her. I beleive one was the 4th seed and felice being the 6th. either way i dont put any stock in those rankings. if they were even near accurate rose shouldnt have been any high than the 3rd or fourth seed. but we will see. Either way i think rose and jojo will put on one hell of a fight.

Rose is hands down my favorite to win the season based upon her fight. Like I said before, she looked like a guy in there fighting, not a girl. The others have all looked like girls to me. Rose I think is on another level technically.

Well Randa might be the exception to the rule. How many other underdogs have won? I honestly don't know. One maybe?

They even gave away who is in the finale now as well. what a let down. Not sure i will be watching any more of this season now. I will just wait to see the finale, now that i know who is in it.

OK, well not being a directv customer, nothing was spoiled for me, so I'm gonna go ahead and talk about the fights this week. Lol

Carla's takedowns were impressive in the sense of sheer tenacity and relentlessness, but man; that's literally ALL SHE DID for the whole fight!! Just single leg, single leg, single leg, single leg. Over and over again. Torres defended about 75% of them, and when Carla did land one, she didnt do shit with it. That was just a lame ass way to win a fight.
The Jojo/Rose fight was awesome!! It was back and forth, both with the striking and ground game. I didn't even realize Rose had the sub locked in until Calderwood tapped! Rose is sick with her submission game. She was constantly making Calderwood defend for the entire fight.
