OK, so let's get the obvious out of the way: there's no direct quote from Dana here. But while BJPenn.com has been crappy lately with their content, that site isn't known for publishing false information.

If this is true, this has to be one of the biggest, ugliest falls from grace in recent MMA memory.

Yeah like i said in my other post wandy has really ran his name through the dirt and is really showing a new side of him that only makes him look like a classless jackass. it only makes it worse when sonnen was doing his trash talking (which i believed was to only hype the fight) but then comes out to actually hold truth behind it.

Side note, i am a little sad to hear wandy go but on the other hand if this is what we should expect from wandy from here on out, i say good riddance then.

It's pretty bad when Chael Sonnen endlessly pokes, prods, and shit talks you in every way possible, and you still end up looking like the douchebag in the end.

Apparently Dana's comments were "misinterpreted", and a decision has not been made one or way or the other in his future in the UFC.....yet. Also, Wanderlei thinks he still has a chance to fight Sonnen, for what that's worth!

Meh .... there is going to be some degree of fall out as the UFC moves to rid the sport of TRT and by-products.

I don't think this ruins Wanderlei's legacy. He had many legendary fights, a long TRT-less run. I don't fault an old warrior wanting to go past his "best before date" but when you think you need to rev up the hormones cause you're getting long in the tooth... its time to hang em up.
