New York State Senate passes MMA bill.........again.

The New York State Senate held firm to their guns today and passed a bill to legalize Mixed Martial Arts in the State of New York.

Today’s vote, at 44-16 in favor, wasn’t even close and marks the fifth-year straight the bill has gone through the state’s Senate.

The bill must now pass in the state’s Assembly in order to become law. It’s in the same stage as the past several years and is expected to stall there once again.

I would say fingers crossed, but...

Yeah I don't think it's happening for us this time, either. It'll probably go about as far as it did last time and then the Culinary Union will step in and crush it again.

From a completely selfish standpoint, I don't care what city MMA events take place in. In fact, I wish all MMA events were outside the US so there wouldn't be so many rules to appease the legislators.

That being said, major decisions based on ignorance make me go mad regardless if they impact me or not.
