Henderson and Belfort both issued TRT exemption for UFC Fight Night 32

According to MMAjunkie.com, both headliners were issued therapeutic-use exemptions for TRT coming in to the bout. So any arguments revolving around this often-criticized therapy are laid to rest before the fighters step into the Octagon.

Each man has made headlines in the past for his TRT use, with Belfort saying that he would stop receiving TRT for a shot at a UFC title.  

Fortunately for him (and unfortunately for Henderson), the main event at UFC Fight Night 32 is a non-title fight, and Belfort will enter the bout in full force.

The same is true for Henderson, however, who recently said that he has "never abused" TRT, but he will enjoy its benefits inside the Octagon with Belfort Saturday.

The two have previously fought in 2006 at Pride 32. There, Henderson took home a unanimous decision, but both men have shown improvements and evolution in their games since that time.

With four finishes in his last five fights, including a vicious spinning back kick against Luke Rockhold in his latest trip to the cage, Belfort looks as dangerous as ever, and Henderson acknowledged these improvements during his interview with FightHub TV:

I think both of us have definitely improved and evolved as fighters. He definitely has some of the same tendencies and openings that he used to have, that I felt. But again, he's become more patient, and he moves better on his feet...It will make for a more interesting fight.


Henderson enters the fight in a must-win situation. The former UFC title contender at both light heavyweight and middleweight has dropped his last two fights, and a third straight loss may spell the end of his career inside the Octagon.

Belfort, meanwhile, has pieced together two consecutive knockout victories, and a third will likely land him a title shot or, at the very least, a No. 1 contender fight in the middleweight division.

Oh thank god! I was worried there for a second that these guys might have to go in there not jacked up. What a relief!

This just proves my point even more. That vitor and henderson were scared stiff at the idea of fighting bisping and had to use trt to be able to stand a chance against him.

But i know all you guys already knew that any way right guys?.......Guys?

Vitor and Hendo .... juicing? Tell me it ain't so!  

After seeing that fight it appears to me that juice makes Hendo slower............

Yeah I don't know what the hell that was. It looked like Hendo started to throw a punch like 3 times and then changed his mind everytime about halfway through. It was hilarious. It looked like he was just confused beyond belief that Vitor wouldn't just stand there and allow him to unload on him.

Maybe for his next fight we can bring back Tank Abbott and they can stand in one place and tee off on each other, because it seems like that's the only kind of fight Hendo is going to stand a chance at winning with the way he's been fighting lately.

Yeah I knew what you meant there. You took some shit for it from the Pride Glory Days Coalition (  ), but you're 100% correct. Saying he "has become" a one-trick pony is not the same as saying he "always has been" one.

agree that this fight was amateurish on hendos part. i dont know what he was thinking approaching like that. was he trying to confuse belfort?
anyway, im sad. hendo is one of my favorite fighters of all time. he says that he feels great and wants to continue fighting but, if he gets caught like this again, he needs to quit. this might have been the beginning of the end for his chin.
and i just cant seem to like belfort, even if he fights well. just cant stand his hypocritical explanation for his late career resurgence. "if you believe, give HIM a chance, he will show you a way.."

It's pretty simple really. God used to hate Vitor Belfort, but now they're buddies. And now that they've made up, God is helping him be freakishly strong and fast by pumping Holy Light directly into his veins.
I don't see why there is any confusion on this.
