Agreed.
Styles most certainly make fights, and that could be the case here. I'm not gonna repeat my opinion on what happened in the first fight because I've already stated it plenty of times, but we all agreed to one level or another before the fight that Weidman had a chance to win this fight because of his specific skillset. He possibly had the ability to take Silva down at will and control and/or finish him on the ground. That hasn't changed since the first fight. Weidman may have trouble with world-class wrestlers in the future and Silva has beaten nearly every kind of fighter there is, but agan; styles make fights.
Does anyone think Ken Norton is a better fighter than Muhammad Ali?
(I know Ali won 2 out of 3, but most people feel that Norton got the better of him twice)
Probably not, but his style was a nightmare for Ali.
But I still think Silva wins the rematch. | |

Weidman could beat Silva three more times in a row and I still wouldn't think he was the better fighter Silva, I agree. Has a skillset that is a nightmare for Anderson? Yes. Better, hell no. | |
