Gray Maynard at UFC 125The UFC lightweight division has been in a bottleneck in terms of the contenders race due to several rematches and one draw that forced a lot of top fighters to wait for their chance to compete for the gold...
“Nate’s on a roll; I think he’ll pull it out,” Maynard said about the fight between Henderson and Diaz. “If he does, I know he was begging for me for a long time, but for me I was looking at the title and that’s a fight that would be a great fight for the title. I’d like to do the TV show against him if that’s the case.”
The TV show is The Ultimate Fighter, which kicks off season 16 in September with coaches Roy Nelson and Shane Carwin. If Diaz is successful in defeating Henderson, Maynard hopes to land the season 17 slot and settle the rubber match with the man who originally eliminated him from the show more than five years ago.

| Meh with 9 decisions out of 14 fights I'm not sure Maynard is TUF material. And I really find it funny that he crapped all over Guida for fighting technically when Guida has way more finishes.
Be that as it may I do agree that Nate takes the title from Benson. | |

| yeah, im pretty uninterested in maynard at this point.......its not that he isnt good, he's just been boring to watch. I think he needs to play gatekeeper for a minute....give him top contenders until he finishes one decisively. and if he gets beat well then we have a new contender. | |

| Nah, neither guy would be great on TUF. Gray is just that in terms of personality and entertainment; grey.
And I'm a Nate fan, but he's not to smooth infront of a camera.
As far as them fighting for the title if Nate wins, I could take it or leave it. Personally, I'd like to see Gray win anther fight first, condsidering he barely got by Guida. | |
