I would concur with Gecko`s original statement, except Chael more than likely went from being concerned about fighting another highly skilled wrestler to having to face Bisping.

Therefore it would totally be in Chael`s best interest to blow up the old Bisping balloon with hot air, making it out to be something its not; so that when he pops it, everyone is like `Bisping was a top contender, and Chael destroyed him; whats next for Chael cause he`s awesome?

This is a more than realistic scenario imo.

Again---
Of course in such a short notice situation does Chael want to inflate the credibility of his new opponent as a threat; so that when he dismantles him people will think it was a miraculous feat.

Honestly, I thought right off hand that Bisping did take on the better of the lot... but looking at the records and taking in just the last 4, since before that they both lost, they are fairly equal....

Couldn't agree more with that statement, other than I think there fairly even all around;

Munoz lost to Okami, but Okami would own Bisping all day imo.

I didn't think Bisping's last 4 fights were as impressive imo, Mark was fighting a whole new breed of Juiced up Leben, lol.

Gecko I will also agree that I was anticipating the Maia - Bisping fights; as I thought it would be a great test for both fighters that were involved.

I just think it's really funny that you're implying that because Chael said Bisping is worthy, it actually means something and has significance. I don't take Chael seriously on anything else, why would I do so on this subject?

With that being said, I can draw my own conclusions on this fight without Sonnen's opinion, and my own conclusion is that Bisping is at least as deserving as Munoz to get a shot at Silva.

Its like many have said already, Sonnen sells his fights good; this one is no exception.

Whether it be through antics, outlandish statements about his opponent or in this case
making his opponent out to be a bigger threat than he is to get people interested in the
possibility of Chael being beaten.

No arguement here. Like I said, the guy has no merit. Nothing he says is genuine or legitimate. But my own personal opinion- regardless of what Chael Clownenn says- is that Bisping deserves this as much as Munoz does. I'm not saying he's the most deserving contender, but he is as deserving as Munoz for sure.
