- The world’s biggest MMA promotion has announced a critical
middleweight scrap between Chris Leben and Mark Munoz will headline their long-awaited return to England. UFC 138 takes place November 5th inside the LG Arena at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. Umm, I thought UFC 138 was supposed to be jumping off November 19th at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California? Remember? Cain Velasquez puts his heavyweight strap on the line against Junior dos Santos? Well, that show has since been redubbed “UFC 139: Velasquez vs. Dos Santos.” For fanboys in the States, the new UFC 138 event will be made available via same-day tape delay on Spike TV. UFC 120 in October of 2010 was the last Octagon event to hit England. Munoz has been quietly and efficiently moving his way up the middleweight totem pole. “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” has posted wins in six of his last seven outings and is currently enjoying a three-fight winning streak. Leben was last seen posting a 27-second highlight reel knockout of Wanderlei Silva at UFC 132. “The Crippler” has won four out of his last five bouts, with his lone blemish during the run coming in devastating fashion against Brian Stann. According to MMAFighting, the tango will mark the first five-round non-title bout to headline a UFC event. 5th Round I highly doubt this fight will reach that 5th round!

| Should be a good show. I'm curious to see how either guy does if it goes past the 3rd. | |

| This is a horrible main event IMGHMFO. I'd rather watch Timmy/AA IV than this in all truth... | |

| I actually looked past the fact that this is the freaking headliner....yeah that blows. I've said it before and I'll say it again, PPV events should only be PPV if there's a title on the line...otherwise leave it for a free fight night. | |

| That's gonna be an awesome fight (no way it goes 5 rounds) but a main event? No way Charlie, even though it's free. The main event should be a title fight, or one with title shot implications, not 2 mid-ranked guys... But it's free so I'll watch it | |

Ding!! That obviously means more title fights or less PPV's, either of which is fine by me.

| It's headline fight worthy overseas. I seem to remember reading a lot of the bigger names try to avoid the UK PPV because those they get a slice of PPV numbers or get remunerated in line with PPV sales get butt fucked because UK/overseas PPV tend not to sell as well.
Munoz's wrestling is not half as good as a lot of people make out and Leben will be able to stuff a lot of his attempts at least in the first 2 rounds but then he'll gas out from hay-makeration and get decisioned for the remaining rounds.

| Five round fight makes me think Munoz will make this a wrestling match up until the fourth round, when he pounds out Leben and takes the TKO victory. I'd like to see Leben get the win though. | |
