| Mark Munoz's shot at UFC gold will have to wait. UFC president Dana White today announced via Twitter an injury has forced Munoz to withdraw from a planned UFC on FOX 2 meeting with Chael Sonnen (26-11-1 MMA, 5-4 UFC), who now meets British slugger Michael Bisping (22-3 MMA, 12-3 UFC) instead. The two clash on the FOX televised main card of this month's "UFC on FOX 2: Evans vs. Davis" event, which takes Jan. 28 at Chicago's United Center. "Munoz is injured and out of the FOX fight," White posted via Twitter. "Now it's Chael Sonnen vs. Mike Bisping Jan. 28, and the winner will fight Anderson for the title." Bisping, who recently served as a coach on "TUF 14," had been expected to face Demian Maia (15-3 MMA, 9-3 UFC). The Brit dominated fellow coach Jason "Mayhem" Miller at December live finale in Las Vegas. He ultimately scored a third-round TKO victory of Miller, who quickly faded in the five-round non-title fight. Bisping has now won four straight fights and five of his past six (all in the UFC). Sonnen, of course, has been seeking a rematch with current champion Anderson Silva since posting a UFC 136 destruction of Brian Stann. But with the champ slowed by a shoulder injury, the outspoken showman instead will look for his fifth win in six fights when he takes on Bisping. http://mmajunkie.com/news/27013/munoz-out-at-ufc-on-fox-2-bisping-vs-sonnen-now-meet-for-shot-at-champ-silva.mma Looks like Sonnen is gonna get his rematch with Silva! Though I would laugh my ass off if Bisping starched him! | |

| Shit I was looking forward to Munoz beating Bisping down, but I suppose Sonnen will do the same thing; just expected a better chance of KO from Munoz.

| i don't really see anyway bisping can keep this standing long enough to jab his way to a UD but he could submit him - other than that? Sonnen wins. | |

| Wow, I'm actually really looking forward to this fight. The outcome no matter what it is will leave me with a mile wide smile. If Sonnen wins, then...well, Bisping loses and the Sonnen/Silva rematch happens. If Bisping wins...well, then Sonnen loses and Bisping then gets to lose in far more dramatic fashion against a more skilled Silva.
This has win/win written all over it.

| So if Bisping does win this fight, I wonder what excuse all the bisping haters will have for this one. chael wasnt the same fighter or bisping won cause it was on fox and fox likes the british.or maybe bisping poisoned chaels water before his fight and gave him the advantage. I love all the bisping hater theories, some of them are funny i cant help but laugh at them and the remarks. ( not saying this is any one on this board) just a genral remark from posts i see on news sites and so on. | |

| I think Chael takes this fight, but i do think the short notice works in Bisping's favor a little more. Bisping was training for a fighter much more similar to Chael than Chael was to Bisping. | |

| I don't see this as being a very exciting fight at all. No way Chael just walks through Bisping. In fact I would be super surprised if this fight doesn't go to decision.
I see Bisping being ultra conservative to prevent takedowns and possibly weak jabbing his way to a decision victory.
Even if Chael gets the takedown, Bisping is really good at using the fence to get back to this feet, and I see much of the fight with either Chael holding Bisping against the fence or Bisping just running around the outside throwing weak jabs.
I am really pulling for Bisping as I think there will be fireworks in a Silva/Bispging title fight. Plus, I've already seen Chael lose to Silva.

Get Well Mark 'The Philippino Wrecking Machine" Munoz! Uuum, huh? lol Yeah so apparently Munoz was scheduled to take on Chael Sonnen, but now because he is hurt, Chael will now be facing Michael the Count Bisping. Just to keep you guys up to speed. Don`t know what I was thinking.

| I am sorry chrom but it will be a cold day in hell when sonnen ko's Bisping. Why does every one think his chin is so weak. He has been ko'ed once in his whole fight game and the one guy who did ko him has done the same to alot of great fighters. example like the so called all mighty Fedor, gracie, and wandi. | |

HAHA i have no retort to that, you have me there. But to be honest, i would have rathered seen bisping fight maia first, that would have been a good tune up fight to prepare for sonnen. I will say Sonnen is probably one of bispings biggest fights to date and will not be an easy win. But say what you will about the guy you have to give some credit to Bisping for taking such a high profile fight and so much on the line on just 10 days notice.

| My beef isn't with Bispings talent or fighting skills. He's a prick. Plain and simple...a prick of the largest kind that come from the ripest crop harvested in the entire prickdom. That makes me want to see him punched in the face.
And I like this fight so much because Sonnen rivals Bisping for king of prickville...so either of them losing to me is fantastic in every way.
