Agree... I don't wanna see Machida lose but I REALLY want to see Jones destroy him..... sigh either way Ill be depressed.

Is it just me... just our site... or has this fight been lacking the hype it could have?

I just don't think it'll be much of a fight. Jones is going to walk through Machida. Machida HAD the hype but lost it all when he didn't do anything spectacular after beating Rashad.

It's gonna be a one sided beatdown in my opinion.

Actually the more I think about the entire card the less excited I get...dunno, just not stoked for this one much at all.

I think Big nog and Machida will both win!

Jon Jones may be the best fighter in the world, but he still has a bit of an image problem. He's seen as having a very carefully manufactured public image. Some people have an issue with that image as being "phony" while others have taken issue with Jones as being "cocky." This has led to situations like the UFC 140 weigh-in where Jones was booed loudly by the crowd in attendance.

Cocky doesn't bother me at all, I expect the best in the world at anything to be cocky. But I have written in the past that I don't care for some of how he comes across so carefully managed in public. It's a personal thing and everyone is going to see different athletes through different lenses

There's a video circulating now from the aftermath of 140 where, after choking Lyoto Machida unconscious, Jones is told by Greg Jackson to check on Machida for the purpose of "getting some fans."

jeez that was retarded. I'll say that I like Jones as a fighter, he's clearly the best that has come along in a long time... but he does come off as being phony. I don't believe anything he says, but that doesn't mean that I don't like to see him fight. Besides, the kid has been finishing guys that are very difficult to finish (Rampage, Shogun, Machida). Like him as a fighter, I ignore everything else.

Really? We want our fighters to be saints now? It seems Jones is being held to some other "higher" standard than "Wow did you see the way he choked that fuker out?" Phoney ... what the hell is phoney... ? Clean fighter .... doesn't use ped's ... finishes fights.

The way Jones just dropped Machida's lifeless body on the mat and walked away without even turning around was super bad ass.

I have no problem with jones dropping machida like that( although i still dont see why he did do it, machida was nothing but rspectful the whole time) But to go over to check on him to just earn some fans is a bit shaddy and low. how about you just go over to make sure he was okay and say thanks for a great fight.

I got no problem with it, I got more of a problem with Big Johns poor positioning
and Machida being out for a solid 2 seconds before he broke it up.
Plus its not like Machida's face bounced of the canvas or something,
it looked pretty harmless imo.

Mir taking out Big Nog's arm was pretty Nasty, sick BJJ skills on display there.
