- After SEVEN YEARS apart, UFC pain machine Brock Lesnar is getting back into business with the company that put him on the map -- WWE -- in a deal that will make him the "featured star" in a brand new video game.
Multiple sources confirm ...the people developing "WWE: 12" approached Brock back in January and asked for permission to use his name and likeness in the game and the advertising campaign.
We're told Brock loved the idea -- but wouldn't sign off unless his current boss, UFC honcho Dana White, gave his blessing. Fortunately, it worked out.
TMZ spoke with White, who told us, "I love WWE and I have nothing but love for Vince McMahon -- I'm totally OK with Brock being in the game."
Source Had me worried for a minute... what do you guys think about this?

| Although its financially a good venture for Brock I'm sure, I could not initially figure out why Dana would approve of such and association between the two Sports; or should I say 1 sport and 1 fake sport.
It kind of makes sense in the regard that the use of Brock in a video game could develop fan interest in his character in the game; which may lead to some crossover of the fans to the UFC. More or less wanting to follow him in his real career with the after the obvious development of interest.
Video games is a huge market, one of the largest in the world as a matter of fact; and will without a doubt be and excellent engine for advertisement of the UFC.
The downfall that is going to be as clear as day to any true fan/supporter of MMA is the association between a real sport trying to gain respect and legitimacy from the sporting world, being associated with a commonly acknowledged fake sport. Thus making the MMA less legitimate in the eyes of many people who will easily make the predictable judgement.

| Whatever. I don't see how it could hurt anything. He's technically not actively participating in anything WWE related as it pertains to his physical person, so I can see why Dana is OK with it. His investment is not in any danger here. | |

| Money... dont blame him ... what are his prospects in the UFC long term if he loses to Cain?

| ^^ You mean Allistair Overeem.
Brock has the highest PPV buy rate of any current fighter in the UFC.
I have a sneaky suspicion that it has alot to do with the fame he had prior to being in the UFC.
This deal will only increase that fame, thus making Brock Lesnar more lucrative to have under the UFC banner.
But I honestly don't think the impending association between "Pro Wrestling" and MMA can be ignored. Any association between the two respectively is bad for MMA and hurts its image and integrity; especially when trying to break into new markets and establish the sports legitimacy.
