| Yeah I give CC little to no chance in this fight. He keeps saying that he is 100% and free of any injuries, but he sure as hell doesn't fight like it. Watching CC go out like this is painful. | |

| ^ Who CroCop or Condit?
I think the Big Coutry .vs. CroCop fight will be a war; Mirko knows he is done. I just would like to see him go out on a better note than the Mir fight.
The Mitrione and Kongo fight should shake up that division a bit, potentially.

| ^ You mean you want to see him go out on a better note than the Shaub fight (it was after the Mir fight).
Mitrione/Kongo would be the fight I was most excited about if it were on any other card than this one.

| ^ lol, yep He was so stellar in both of them I didn't even think of the Schaub fight; but his fight against Mir where they were hugging and shit just sticks out and being terrible for both fighters involved. He is one of those legends that just can't seem to get the kinda shock victory like Tito and Big Nog did. | |

| I don't know if it is fear as much as his heart is clearly not in it anymore; he doesn't have the passion and the hunger for the competition. His killer instinct has been gone imo since the Gonzaga kick to his mush. | |

| So is Big Country gonna stand with him? It doesn't seem nearly as dangerous an idea as it used to be, and Cro Cop isn't easily submitted. | |

| I could see Roy standing with him for the most part, unless Mirko goes with those leg kicks he is so well known for. I think roy could submit Crocop, if he didn't tap verbally he would go out due to smothering I imagine. Roy's gotta be coming close to the end of his contract so he better pull his shit together this fight and show some real battle in him. | |

| Cro Cop is done boys. The skill hasnt developed, the heart is gone... he hasnt kicked in many fights. Roy can take anything Mirko can throw at him, and he will bang back and that will be the end of it. | |

| as unlikely as it is, i think that head kick changed it all. right after that he became timid and have never kicked again. when under attack he turtles up or sticks his hands out like an amature. | |

| Well that was his M.O. in pride; he was the hunter, and his opponent was the hunted. Now that he's being hunted by strikers who are on his level, he's in unfamiliar territory and doesn't know what to do. | |

| dont think its because the strikers are on his level. he has had wars with great strikers before. dont you remember the battle with fedor? and dont tell me fedor was or is overrated. at least then he was the best in the world | |

| Yeah but didn't Fedor take him down a lot because he was getting ruled on the feet? That would play into what I was saying about Cro Cop being the hunter and backing his opponent up. There were good strikers in Pride, but they all seemed to fear the idea of standing with Cro Cop, so they would retreat, which is exactly where he was at his best. The guys that are getting the best of him in the UFC are standing right in front of him and not backing away from him (or in some cases, hunting him) and I think it counteracts his style of attack. | |

| The Pride CC is long gone. If he does throw a kick now its completely telegraphed and almost like he throws it just so the crowd can go oooooooo. What made his kicks so devastating back in the day was his just all around striking. Hed set it up with his leg kicks and punching combos and than throw it if the opening was there.
I really hope this is it for him, its actually painful to watch. If he actually does put Roy away vintage CC than the whole Cro Cop is back nonsense will start and hell come back in a later fight and completely get destroyed again.

| ^ Word.
I see Mirko getting KO'd in this fight.
Also, I asked whether or not the Penn - Diaz had be confirmed as 3 or 5 rounder.
Caught an interview with Caeser Gracie saying its a 3 rounder, and its because BJ wanted too much more money to make it a 5 rounder.

| Yeah, apparently BJ actually suggested that Caesar Gracie (Diaz's manager) pay him out of his own pocket to go 5 rounds. | |

| ^ LOL, yeah; it was more like he said I don't care who pays me to go 5 rounds as long as I get paid, the UFC, Caeser Gracie out his own pocket. LOL
Thats what I heard at least, from an interview with BJ

| I can't say I blame him; If you're gonna gas out in front of millions of people and proceed to embarass yourself for the duration of the fight, you might as well get paid extra for it. | |
