The 29-year-old makes his first title defense when he meets Junior dos Santos at UFC on FOX. We caught up with the champ after Tuesday’s press conference in Los Angeles where he discussed a barrage of topics, including his angst to get back to action, the privilege of headlining the company’s primetime debut, as well as the pressures of performing after UFC president Dana White’s guarantee.
Velasquez also shares his thoughts on the heavyweight top contender bout between Lesnar and Alistair Overeem at UFC 141.

Of course he thinks it warrants a title shot, assuming he manages to hold on to the belt (which isn't a guarantee by a long shot) after his fight with JDS why wouldn't he want a gimme fight against a big name (see big payday) who poses no threat

I was thinking the same thing. Why would he want brock again after he man handled him like nothing the first time around.

I think its nice that fighters are indicating who they would like to fight but there is a fine line between who'd you like to fight next and being a match maker and saying who SHOULD get the shot next.
