UFC Announces That 23 Celebrities Are Now Part Owners

Late Thursday night, it was announced on Conan O’Brien’s late night talk show that as part of talent agency/entertainment company WME-IMG’s purchase of the UFC, 23 celebrities, almost all of whom are WME-IMG clients and include O’Brien, are now minority owners of the promotion. Ari Emanuel, WME-IMG’s co-chief executive, told The Wall Street Journal that he approached clients who he knew were MMA fans about investing. “They would always ask for tickets.”
