| Diaz let his foot off the gas. i think on purpose. He fought worse than he did when he wasnt prepared. He didnt roll with the punches, nor did he go for the finish when mcgregor tired. Of course it could be that he was so tired that he couldnt throw any punches and forgot how to do a takedown, but its not very likely. He knows that the third fight will make insane amount of money | |

| I thought the card was awesome and I thought the main event was great as well. Back and forth the whole time. I scored rounds 1, 2, and 4 for Conor like 2 of the judges. Great card!!! Did anyone notice Glover's tooth come down about 3 seconds after the punch??? | |

| commie 100% there was no way this wasn't going into a trilogy. diaz knows this is his money shot.
yeah man glovers tooth went flying into space. I cant recall a fighter getting laid out like that in recent times. If you watch that ko in slow motion glover is ktfo and has no idea where he is when he was on his feet. rumble is no joke I hope he is working on sub defense because everything else seems to be working perfect for him

I didnt really have that much of a problem with it. I dont think he was Khalib Starnesing or anything. Imo it was more like resetting. When he would get trapped against the cage he would get out and jog a couple of steps to the center and then re-engage. Admittedly it didnt look great, but I by no means thought he ran the whole fight or anything.

| Yeah, I agree. Both fighters looked like they were run over by a truck when the fight was over. Great fight. Both guys had chances to finish it. Agree Diaz definitely took his foot off the gas a couple times I thought he was going to take over. I think the judges got it right though. Best case scenario for Diaz, the fight was a draw.
Awesome card overall. Almost every other fight ended with a finish. Fuck man, Johnson throws some bombs. He'll always have his hands full with grinders like Cormier, but he's got to be the scariest fighter in the UFC for some time now.

| I just watched it.....could have gone either way....I can see and argument for both guys taking round 2 with 1 and 4 McGregor and 3 and 5 Diaz.....I'm not mad at the decision. | |

| i watched it again and I agree with you
round 1- clearly conor
round 2- 50/50
round 3- cleary diaz
round 4- advantage conor
round 5 - advantage diaz
I think the 2nd time I watched it was better than the first time.. this is a fight I sipped the kool aid for.. I wanted to see a highlight finish. I haven't been this excited for a fight since tito/chuck and maybe that's why I'm a little disappointed with the results..
ive heard people mention this as fight of the year and I laughed at that and id like to know if anyone here really thinks this fight was that spectacular???

| Definitely not fight of the year. Maybe most hyped? That doesn't mean it wasn't a good fight though. | |

| Good fight. Good heart by both guys, and very entertaining. But no; not fight of the year. | |

| It depends on how you look at it imo.
For real true mma fans like ourselves it has no chance at fight of the year, because although entertaining it was pretty damn sloppy.
But, for the non-hardcore I could see how it could be considered for the sheer emotional roller coaster ride of it. I mean half way through round 2 I was positive Conor was going to to win. Then at the end of round 3 I was absolutely positive Nick was going to win lol. No way I saw Conor lasting. Then he comes back in round 4 and Im thinking wow these guys are going at it and then Nick comes on strong again in the 5th. So for pure mma and technique no way. But for emotional investment I could see it. I was watching it with a lot of people and there was more yelling and nail biting than I have seen in a long time during the fight.

| I'm interested in the 3rd fight at 155. nate said he had injuries in the last fight so it would be interesting to see how different he will approach this fight. and conor will have more gas at 55.
this is the real fight for these guys imo because they are both in their true weight class.

| I think they need to have a few fights in between and see how they do.
conor if he goes back to 145 is going to have a line of guys to fight- aldo, Holloway, edgar, lamas, stephens, pettis, etc there are a ton of great tough fights for him in that division. if he cleans that division out let him go to 155 and prove his worth there and see where diaz is at that time.
id personally like to see nate fight barboza and if he wins that fight let him fight loser of dos anjos/ferguson or the loser of the khabib/alvarez fight.
if both guys go on a nice win streak it would be nice to see them match up down the line for the 155 belt if possible.

| Yeah fight 3 would be ok but at the end of the day I could live without it. Seeing another fight end in a decision that could go either way is kinda .... MEH
I don't think I'd pay for a third, seeing Connor go back to 155 and do his job is more the way I'm leaning. I don't think he'd be as dominant as he would like at the higher weight and he'd take a lot more damage.
Just defend your freaking title and lets see some dominant wins.

| I'd just be happy if he made a decision. Either stay at 145 for awhile, or cut the cord now and call 155 your new home. | |

| Connor put on a lot of muscle and i don't think he was planning on coming back to 145. Even with less weight to cut, he was nearly dead each time he weighed in. And if he is pressured or decides to try again it might be stupid from health point of view. Too big for 145 and obviously too small for 170 so 155 is the logical choice, but even there he will face bigger guys, just like Nate, who in their next fight will finish him again. Nurmagomedov will rag doll him around; Ferguson is not as skilled in the stand up, but is bigger and will either knock him out or submit him...the point is that Mcgregor would not be the king at 155. He is somewhat stuck in no weight land and he knows it, so he will try to cash in before he loses the luster. I would like to watch him at 155 still, he is better suited for it. But that will happen only if he decides that he is ok with not being the best, at least right away. | |

| for me 145 is the division id like to see him fight in. he is the champ there and I feel that is the most stacked division in mma right now. with the addition of pettis in that division I think that would make for a great fight against conor along with several other fights.
155 is a close second. I wouldn't want to see a conor vs alvarez match up because alvarez has a chin that could get rocked and conor would find that spot easily imo. but almost every other fighter under him is a great fight/match up that I would like to see.
knowing the ufc we probably wont see him fight in a specific division and just bounce around fighting guys on short notice, unwarranted title fights, and everything else under the sun.. only for conor to leave MMA and go to the WWE
