why doesn't conor get fined for this? he clearly struck diaz's hand. that's illegal and he should be fined or punished in someway. didn't jones and cormier get fined for striking each other?

I was thinking that too. He could've broken Diaz's hand.
I'm not trying to wussify the situation or be overly dramatic, but that was the first thought that came to my mind. Hard knuckle-to-knuckle contact is typically bad news.

Yeah, anyone purposely making contact should get fined. The person initiating contact fined most.

Kinda funny too that McGregor threw the punch, yet Dana chose to coral Diaz.

The beauty is that this will be settled in the ring then the "hand slapping, fist in the face, trash talking, disrespect, what ever the fuc" will be answered in the ring.

If you shoot in on Nate Diaz and miss and he gets ahold of your neck, how good your ground game is no longer matters.

yep but what I'm getting at is a combination of what nate did to him and round 1 of the mendez fight....all the time hes been on the ground its turned out bad for him.....and his other losses are buy sub also....

Nate beat mcgregor on the feet. By the time it got to the final ground exchange, Mcgregor was exhausted and hurt, didnt know what to do. That said, Mcgregor has no real ground skills.
And that is the key to his loss, he fell in love with himself, his power, his flashy offence. As i said before, he lacks defensive striking, and gets caught a lot of times he attacks, its just that usually, his power is enough to win.
He needs to go learn how to protect himself better and of course, go learn some real grappling. Stop being in love with himself. Start visualizing defense, as per that stupid law of attraction that he is such a fan of.

Yeah I agree with you. He's been the better striker in his fights against other strikers, but he's been out grappled every time he's forced to grapple.
This time against Nate however, he wasn't the better striker, and he panicked and tried to suddenly become a grappler. What I meant was he never even gave himself a chance to prove whether he could or couldn't grapple when he fucked himself by going for that half assed shot that Nate immediately turned against him.
But yeah, I agree that from what we've seen of it, his ground game is shit until proven otherwise.

Yeah, if that fight would have went 3+ rounds, Nate would have KO'd him. McGregor was done after the first and Nate was getting closer and closer to just having his way with him no matter where the fight went.
