He might have regretted that in rehearsals with former light heavyweight world title challenger Tony Bellew, who plays world champion Pretty Ricky Conlan in the film, the Daily Mail reported.
The actor took a punch from Bellew, and got knocked out for real.

Yeah I think it was a perfect storm situation. He leaned into it, and it looked like he did that look-how-knocked-out-I-am wobbly neck thing a split second too early and therefore was way too loose when it connected. Also, the other guy is a former boxing champ, so even if it's a stage punch, it's gonna be solid. | |
