Velasquez vs Werdum..... Wow

I never thought Id say say this at this point in his career, but I actually felt bad for Cain and the beating he just took.

Damn.....

We really never knew how he looked considering he fought the same two guys for 2 years then was out of commission for so long. I kinda lost interest in Cain like 3 years ago, so I'm happy to see Werdum take it

I was actually just recently starting to get aboard the Cain Train and didn't really give Werdum or anybody else much of a shot at beating him. But yeah, that's a fair point; we haven't really seen him against a large pool of fighters.
With that said, I gotta give Werdum his props. Even at 36 years old, the guy continues to look better every time out there. He's outstriking strikers, outgrappling grapplers, and just generally outclassing everyone.

So how long until he gets popped for steroids?

No, me either. Werdum absolutely dominated him everywhere the fight went.
I'm gonna need to see Cain beat two top 10 guys before getting a shot.

I keep seeing claims, from the media, of the Melendez/Alvarez fight being controversial.... What did you guys think?

Eh.....
I thought Melendez won. He definitely won the first and seemed busier to me in the 2nd and 3rd, but it seemed like the judges credited Alvarez's takedowns more than Melendez's activity.
I thought Melendez should've gotten the nod, but I've certainly seem worse decisions.

i would like to see a rematch of cain vs werdum just not right away. Id love to see a JDS vs Werdum rematch and let cain fight arlovski or stipe. if cain could beat one of those guys have him fight the winner of jds/werdum

i gave melendez round 1 i gave alvarez round 3 round 2 was in the air for me. great fight tho and i thought alvarez showed a lot of heart

overall i thought this was a pretty exciting card.

kelvin gastelum- hes in a weird place. he is way too small for MW and he is way to big for WW whats he supposed to do? Picture him vs rockhold, weidman, carmont, jacare those guys would dwarf him

I wouldn't mind seeing a Cain/Werdum rematch, BUT only because I dont have a ton of interest in seeing Werdum fight any of the other HWs right now unfortunately. It has nothing to do with thinking Cain deserves it, he got his ass kicked. I just think the HW division is pretty weak right now.

I had Melendez winning, but I knew it would be close and it wasn't something to cause a fuss about. I thought Gil won the first and Eddie won the 2nd (I am sure everyone did) and the 3rd was the "controversial" round. I thought Gil was way more active and I didnt give Eddie much for the TD's because he literally did nothing with them. I am not even sure he threw a strike on the ground.

That might have been me, but it definitely wasn't intentional. I went to quote him and got a weird message so I just wrote my own thing. Definitely nothing wrong saying Cain fought 2 guys over and over and then lost to a third, because that is what happened lol.

Now that I think about it, I'm not even sure guests can vote. if they could, we'd all most certainly get downvoted on a regular basis by a bunch of nameless, faceless trolls. lol
