Playing the role of your own matchmaker doesn’t always work. For some guys the UFC grants requests when the fans support a fighter’s desire. For other guys, the UFC doesn’t really care what you want and that’s the case when you talk about Jon Fitch.
Fitch has gone off over the past several months stating he only desires to fight two men, two elite level martial artists that will raise his stock and they are GSP and BJ Penn. However, the UFC took little interest in Jon’s personal matchmaking criteria and booked his would be opponents for other fights.
After several claims that those were the only two people he would return for it would appear as if Mr. Fitch has changed his tune and he does so via NBC Sports.
Rumor has it, up next for Jon could be fellow welterweight Johny Hendricks. BJPenn.com Hendricks?? WTF?? | |

| when you need to get paid you'll fight your own mother. in Fitch's case, Hendrick might be the easy payday he needs. 6 months is a very long time to be sidelined in the UFC. | |

| His best bet is to keep taking what ever fights the ufc wants and keep winning. Eventually people will start to demand for a rematch and he will get his wish. | |
