Bobby Green out Ben Henderson now meets Jorge Madvidal

With Bobby Green (23-6 MMMA, 4-1 UFC) forced with withdraw from UFC Fight Night 63, Benson Henderson (21-5 MMA, 9-3 UFC) has agreed to step in and face Jorge Masvidal (28-8 MMA, 5-1 UFC).

UFC officials today confirmed the switch with FOX Sports.

Featuring a featherweight matchup between top contenders Chad Mendes and Ricardo Lamas, UFC Fight Night 63 takes place April 4 at Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va. An official bout order for the night has yet to be revealed, but the evening’s main card airs on FOX Sports 1.

A timetable for Green’s return wasn’t immediately established.

Henderson books a quick return to action after suffering a disappointing and somewhat controversial decision loss to Donald Cerrone at this past weekend’s UFC Fight Night 59 event. The result saw Henderson suffer back-to-back defeats for this first time in his professional career.

Meanwhile, Masvidal fought most recently at September’s UFC 178 event, where he earned a decision win over James Krause. It was Masvidal’s third consecutive UFC win after also earning decision victories over Daron Cruickshank and Pat Healy.

Agreed and man i cant wait to see Henderson fight again. After that loss to cowboy i know he is going to be pissed and wanting to make a statement.

Green is the one out of the fight. So it's Henderson vs Masdvidal.

I actually see this as a pretty easy win for Henderson. Masvidal is a game opponent, but he's just not on the level of the top guys in the division.

wow. that was bad.

masvidal has awesome tdd and he has a pretty solid ground game. his striking i believe is better than bens and the cardio is equal. i think this will be a tough one to call. im actually gonna take masvidal

I am fine with all that, but Henderson wins this easily due to a strength, speed, and pace advantage.

I think Henderson should be able to handle Masvidal and get it to the ground for a possible late TKO or decision win.
