| Yeah, Jones really impressed me in that fight. That close quarters fighting was awesome to watch. Rumble is a fucking STUD! That guy should be in the top five after that performance. Made Mr.Wonderful look absolutely awful!
That fuckin flying knee by Beal was amazing!
Good card! | |

| Good card overall, but I'd be lying if I said Jones impressed me in any way. It's not that he wasn't dominant and didn't completely overmatch Teixiera, because he did. But I've said all along that Glover was extremely overhyped and overrated. Regardless of all the media hype, he was never a threat in this fight, much like I figured he wouldn't be. So basically in my opinion, Jones didn't do anything he wasn't supposed to do.
Now Anthony Johnson on the other hand looked really impressive! The standup went how I figured it would, but Johnson's TDD was insane. Davis didn't ever really even get close to taking him down. I'm not sure if this was a result of Johnson having underrated wrestling or of Davis blatantly looking past him at Jon Jones. Johnson said his wrestling was always better than people realized, but I remember Koscheck rag dolling him at WW, so maybe that weight cut was even more draining that I realized.
The rest of the card was good, with a lot of good finishes. The Beal knee was crazy. Like Rogan said, it was like something out of a movie. Castillo's one-punch KO was nice, too. And Benavidez making Elliot tap out with his feet was some wierd looking shit. I mean I get it; his arms were trapped and he was going out. But it was so strange looking, like he was having a seizure or something! lol!

| Honestly... I don't even know if those were taps with his feet or him just flat out spazzing... | |

| Yeah I wasn't entirely sure myself. I thought I saw him looking at the ref like "Help! I can't tap!" right before the ref jumped in and stopped it. Then again, maybe the ref just saw his feet going all wonky like that like you said and figured that was a sure a sign as any that the fight was over. lol | |

| Definitely a good card. I agree with pretty much everything Trigg said. I never thought Tex was a threat either and he was overhyped. I always thought he was kind of slow and plodding. The only thing I disagree with is that I thought Jones could have done more.
And Vitor headkick withstanding I still think that Rockhold is going to be the next big thing. I think his skillset, size, and attitude are all awesome.

| Let me be clear, the fact that Jones won, did not impress me. I too have never bought into the Glover hype. What impressed me was the way he won. We all should know by now I'm no Bones fan. I just think the style he used to win was far better than watching him keep distance and/or wrestling to a win. It was a more entertaining Jones IMO
Gus is still gonna rip him apart in the rematch

| Yeah I guess I could give him credit for not playing it safe, Oatmeal-style. But still, to me it was just sort of a mandatory, jury-duty kind of title defense. Like "Let's get this over with". Bring on Gustaffson. | |
