Can we just invent a title for Urijah Faber or something? I'm getting really tired of seeing Dana throw him into #1 contender and title matches every other fight in hopes of finally getting a belt around his waist.
Let's just give him a belt for weirdest chin or something and be done with it.

With that said, Cruz had to be stripped of the title at this point. Barao is clearly a capable champ, and Cruz had been out for waaaaay too long. His last fight was with Demetrious Johnson in Oct 2011. Think about that for a second. Johnson has changed weight classes and fought SIX times and defended HIS belt THREE times for Christ's sake. Not to mention Renan Barao has defended the "Interim" belt twice already.

Defend your title once every six months or lose it. Defend it more get LOTS more money.

If you go back to the last time Faber had a belt he has been 9-0 in non-title fights and 0-5 in title fights.
I guess it's not his fault when you have too many weight classes and they get thinner with top competition. I actually do think he is the #2 guy in the weight class.

Yeah, but who the hell else can you think of that has gotten 6 title shots in 15 fights? That's almost every other fight that he has been given a shot at winning the belt.

Yeah exactly. I mean I understand how many shots he has gotten, but in all honesty who else should be given the shot with Cruz out?
