Barnett Lands New Fight at Final Strikeforce Card

Former PRIDE and UFC heavyweight Josh Barnett
will make his last appearance under the Strikeforce banner when he takes on a scary-looking Austrian named Nandor Guelmino on Jan. 12 in Oklahoma City.

Josh Barnett said he expected to be included on the final Strikeforce card and well, here we are.

"The Warmaster" has been paired off with a scary-looking Austrian named Nandor Guelmino for the Showtime-televised broadcast on Jan. 12, 2013, which emanates from the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

MMA Fighting brought word of the booking earlier today.

Barnett (31-6) hasn't been seen since a five-round drubbing at the hands of Strikeforce Grand Prix Champion Daniel Cormier
last May. With the demise of the San Jose-based promotion all but a
foregone conclusion, it's time for the grappling wizard to leave a
lasting impression before he hits the job market.

Assuming Guelmino doesn't hit him first.

"The Hun" (11-3) will make his stateside debut after making some noise on the European circuit.
