| And the hits just keep on coming..... - Quote :
- Less than an hour after announcing that Shane Carwin blew out his knee, UFC officials were once again reporting another injury. Gray Maynard is injured and out of his UFC 155 bout with Joe Lauzon.
The good news, however, is that unlike Carwin’s original opponent, Roy Nelson, Lauzon already has a new foe waiting in the wings. Jim Miller has already agreed to step up and fill Maynard’s shoes, according to UFC officials.
The UFC released no details of Maynard’s injury.
Lauzon (22-7), after having his road to towards title contention diverted by Anthony Pettis, bounced back in his most recent trek to the Octagon. He submitted Jamie Varner at UFC on Fox 4 in August.
Miller (21-4) has lost two of his last three bouts, to current champion Benson Henderson and most recently to Henderson’s next challenger, Nate Diaz, so he’s looking to try and get back on track in the fight with Lauzon.
The winner is taking a big step towards getting back in the mix with a victory. http://www.mmaweekly.com/gray-maynard-out-jim-miller-in-against-joe-lauzon-at-ufc-155 | |
