Thursday a verbal agreement between the pair. The month of the event is
official, and it has been widely speculated that it will take place
Nov. 19 at HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif.
Faber, the former WEC featherweight champion, has failed in his last
four title bouts, including a loss for the bantamweight belt at UFC 132
to Dominic Cruz. Cruz took the title from Bowles in March 2010 and has
carried it into the UFC.
There was some thought that Faber, despite the loss, would draw an immediate rematch with Cruz, who avenged his only loss.
