late Thursday evening that bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz will put
his title on the line against Demetrious Johnson at “UFC on Versus 6″
on October 1st.
Cruz owns a dominant 18-1 resume and has been perfect through his
last nine contests. He posted a unanimous decision victory over bitter
rival Urijah Faber earlier this month at UFC 132.
Johnson bumped his record to 10-1 after cruising past former WEC bantamweight king Miguel Torres at UFC 130. “Mighty Mouse” is currently riding a four-fight winning streak.
The show marks the first time the promotion has offered up a
championship affair for free television since UFC 75 in September of
2007. However, that card took place in England and was made available

| I like. Not a huge fan of either guy, but Cruz at least will make it an interesting fight. | |
